    He doesn’t make feel it’s a great move for us. And not better then Levert to me.

    Levert is an overall better playmaker and defender than THJ . We dont need more 6 foot 5 guys. We need 6-8 and 6-9. And if we take on hardaways contract that will negate all cap flexibility for next year.

    All this trade would do is help dallas get off his bad contract.

    We cannot give up Levert and draft capital for someone who is not a long term solution at the 3. Levert is a very inconsistent shooter, but is bought into the role. He has brought legitimate tertiary playmaking and defensive effort all year. I don’t see any of the names that have been thrown around as a clear cut upgrade that is worth giving away any minor trade pieces we have remaining.

    A straight up swap would be awful for us. I don’t think Altman would make a move this bad.

    Why do we need another guard? Makes no sense. We need a SF. God i wish we couldve kept Lauri out of the Mitchell trade

    This seems like making a trade just for the sake of making one. I don’t see Hardaway as an upgrade over Levert (assuming that’s who we trade since salaries match) and he has more years on his contract.

    If we did this, I’d expect draft capital in return. As others mentioned, seems like Levert has finally found his role within the team and is in a bit of a groove recently. This is the best he’s looked since we’ve traded for him.

    If we trade Levert I’d rather us set our sights a bit higher where this feels like we’re settling too early into the trade season.
