So I’m going to ride for this team until the wheels come off, but at some point the FO has to look at the roster and realize that as constructed some changes need to be made. That’s the frustrating thing from a fan standpoint…you can see the potential, but outside of the draft there isn’t anything being done to give the fan base a reason to believe we’re trying to improve.

Just a bad game. Whenever we would get any momentum we’d just shit the bed. Our bench was atrocious tonight, and our defense was poor. Also Cole Anthony might be a great guy but I’m getting tired of his one good game for every five awful ones.

  3. dremasterflax

    Cole with a minute 34
    Jesus Christ
    Maybe show up

  4. Jadds1874

Well, at least it’s only a few hours until the next tip off

  5. NikThaGreat9

Keep those lotto picks handy. Wouldn’t be so sure about trading them away just yet. I still see a lot of holes on this bench outside of Gary Harris and the ghost of Jonathan Isaac.

    Edit: forgot Bol

  6. JaguarsDTWD

Trade cole at the deadline please. I can’t watch this man not pass the ball a single time and jack up an awful shot

  7. ricksenberg

Shout out to those of you who watched this whole game.

I mean, I couldn’t. I shut it off 3 minutes into the 4th — but those of you who did are real ones — and gluttons for punishment.

  8. HeadlessShinobi

Simons and Lillard are going to torch us.

  9. Most annoying loss of the season. Holding Fox & Sabonis under 13 points each only for Harrison Barnes & Keegan to torch us from downtown.

I hope the wave the crowd was doing & the “light the beam” chants lights a fire under them for next game.

Keep Paolo, Franz, Wendell, Fultz, Bol even Suggs. The rest can go, during this trade deadline or during the offseason. Clear out the bench they dont make a difference.

  11. mr-puffer-billow

Franchise record for threes made plus our terrible interior defense equals beam. Gg, on to the next one

    Go Magic 🪄

Kings were on one. Even if we played better defense, their offense and team makes much more sense than what we have. I suspect in the next year or two we’re also going to have a more “competitive” roster while the young guys grow. Still, at the end of the day, we’re a young team that is learning to win (and lose) together.

Paolo and Franz are the only keepers for me, the rest have to earn it. A lot I can see on the team as role players, but I’m talking about who I can 100% see on the team in 3-4 years from now.

Our players are still too hot and cold in terms of being consistent to trust night in and night out. It’s why we can play the same lineups in back to back games and look amazing and then look like shit.

Awful game but I can’t help but notice just how insanely good Kelle was. He just keeps getting better and better every game. Super excited to see how he continues to develop the rest of the season

  14. treadwater23

Fultz is fun but we absolutely need him or our SG of the future to be a volume three point shooter, which I don’t see happening. Cole ain’t it. Otherwise, I think when we compete, he’ll be a backup here or moved. Suggs.. maybe.

We can’t have sub 35% 3 point shooters in Paolo/Franz (which is okay, because they do a lot of other things) while WCJ/Fultz are non-factors there as well. Not in today’s NBA. A guy in the mold of GTJ (or a Ross that wasn’t a complete negative everywhere else) would be a godsend for this team.

Can’t win in the NBA without consistent shooting.

  15. sjdjksisudbfbxnsjdu

of course they keep bamba benched when hes needed the most

  16. Ghostofz10

I know the kings were breathing a sigh of relief when Mosley subbed out Franz for Cole and basically killed our momentum and run we were on. If he would have just left him in a little longer I think the deficit could have been slashed to a single digit. But it shouldn’t have even come that because our defense was atrocious to being with. The magic desperately need 3 and D players.

  17. SonicNarcotic

Beaten by our own terrible shooting.. Special shout out to Cole Anthony who kept laying brick after brick no matter how much the deficit kept ballooning..

What a disappointment for the players who actually showed up: Kelle, Paolo, Franz & Wendell…

On to the next one.. Leave this one to rest..

  18. M4C4K4NJ4

Cole Anthony with an astounding -34. Wow…woof. We better not resign him.

In my opinion, he’s the single most responsible player for our bad streak since we had that 6 game winning streak. He takes bad shot after bad shot. Never looks to pass. He’s too small and not athletic at all. His drives to the lane are met by real athletes and he ends up embarrassing himself. And he can’t defend stronger players. I’m 100% out on him after tonight. Bring back Kevon or even RJ at this point. He’s straight trash and is costing us games.

Furthermore, there’s no reason he should be leading our team in shot attempts. Run the offense through Paolo, Franz, and Kelle. Coach Mose is failing to do anything about Cole as he seemingly has the green light. Mose is failing this team hard.

  19. SonicNarcotic

I think Houston should get more of a chance.. He’s known for shooting, but shooters need consistent minutes and to build momentum.. Hard to do that when you’re glued to the bench for most of the game…

  20. Niceshotpiccolo

If we are going to make any moves at the deadline it needs to be for proven 3&D guys on at least 2-3 year deals otherwise don’t make any moves and instead wait for the off-season where we can sign such players or make trades then. Ideally I want to stick with a core PB Franz WCJ and MF. only bench pieces I would keep as of now are Suggs Bol and Okeke. The rest hopefully we can move and acquire some REAL Veterans that can play alongside our main guys

  21. Dometalican_90

Someone should make an apology post….to the ones like myself that keep telling y’all Cole is not our starter.

He’s starting to prove he’s not even better then RJ to be our bench player either…

  22. ApatheticJellyfish

Anthony with a +/- of -34 is egregious.
