That Levert trade was a killer. Still don’t understand it. We weren’t going to win it last year so why give up a 1st round pick.

A 6’8 wing that can shoot and defend at a high level. We don’t have the assets for it right now.

So realistically we can offer a first round swap and a few second round picks, but if we do that there is really not much left.
If there is someone who is clear upgrade that we can trade Windler and/or Levert + a second and maybe that 2024 swap (which shouldn’t be that valuable) I would consider, but I am also fine rolling with what we have and trying to fill that need with undrafted FA signings and second round picks.
The real concern with not trading Levert is that he walks in FA and we no longer have that salary to trade down the road. If we aren’t going to re-sign him, we might as well trade him just to have someone on the books who we can flip in a year or two.

More assets, honestly.
Trade Levert for a bad contract and some draft compensation and then play the buyout game for reinforcements this year.

If they could match salary without sending someone important out, I’d consider taking a flyer on Reddish. Reports are the Knicks just want a 2nd rounder or two. Not sure he will ever reach his potential, but he’s a good shooter from the corners and has potential to defend well in the Cavs system. As long as it doesn’t break up the immaculate vibes, it’s worth a shot if nothing better is available.

I don’t see the Cavs making a move by the trade deadline. I think we will add pieces in free agency

I wouldn’t do too much. I would definitely hit Charlotte up for Oubre or Detroit for Bogdanovic, and keep an ear out for a backup center.
Rolo is probably a great guy to have around a valuable veteran but he can’t really contribute valuable minutes. We have zero insurance if Allen goes down.
Kevin and Caris are both movable assets if a team is looking to clear cap space and dispatch a valuable player in return. But that landscape doesn’t look promising this year.

Is there a possibility at all where we can receive a late first round pick? From what I’ve seen, it’s always LeVert and/or Okoro or Windler + second round pick for a player. Is there anyone at all willing to give away a late first rounder rn for a wing?

Not a lot of ammo left there to make a deal with.
