Shams reported there was a framework for a 3 team deal between Hawks, Suns, Jazz. Suns get Vanderbilt, Hawks get Crowder and another role player(probably Olynyk) and then the Jazz get Collins. Thing is the Jazz wanted to be compensated for taking on Collins in the form of **2 FRP’s**.
So that deal fell through but that doesn’t sound like “in the neighborhood of a Gobert/Mitchell trade package”. Probably just the Hawks realizing there’s a weak trade market for an average-above average PF making $25m.

We may be able to get him, not for that “Rudy Gobert/Donovan Mitchell” trade package, but he has lost value. He fills a need, historically good on offense, he has been awful from 3 this year (but he has a near 36% career 3P percentage), not sure what’s going on with his shot this year (admittedly haven’t really watched any Hawks games). During the Hawks conference finals run he proved that he can be a positive on defense. Given that his value continues to slide we may be able to fleece the Hawks
