Marcus Morris on losing to Denver in the 2020 Playoffs “We only lost that s— because we were in the bubble. [If] we weren’t in the bubble, we’d beat the s— out of them. Put that on the record. Guys are out of their comfort zone. Kudos to Denver.” Since then the Clippers are 2-8 against Denver.

The Clippers wanted nothing to do with the bubble. There was nowhere to go, no escape from each other or their opponents. George admitted to falling into a state of depression. And Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell and Patrick Beverley all left and returned to the bubble for personal reasons, fracturing their already complicated team chemistry.

“Off the court was damn near hell,” Jackson says of the isolation of the bubble.

When faced with a Nuggets team that didn’t quit having overcome a 3-1 series deficit in the first round against Utah, the Clippers folded, blowing leads of 16, 19 and 12 points in their last three losses of the series.

“We only lost that s— because we were in the bubble,” Marcus Morris Sr. says. “[If] we weren’t in the bubble, we’d beat the s— out of them. Put that on the record. … Guys are out of their comfort zone. Kudos to Denver.”

  1. DP-Drahus

Doc Rivers said the same bullshit. Like didn’t y’all have a double digit lead in every game you lost in that series including game 7 ??? So like was it the bubbles fault then ? Fucking bozos

  2. jacrispy252

Lol “guys are out of their comfort zone” as if the opposing team isn’t. Each team had to go through the same thing

  3. Miserable-You-1290

Hubris and humility are not a particular skill of the Morris brothers. lol

  4. Yes because the other team wasn’t going through the same stuff lol

  5. crashbandicoochy

It’s crazy how often you hear pro athletes saying things like “we would’ve beaten them if it weren’t for X”. How do you get that successful as a professional athlete whilst still thinking you can pin any result on one thing?

Every single result in every single game in every single sport has a million different factors playing into the result. A vet of all people should know that by now.

  6. Good_NewsEveryone

The Morris twins are clowns? Truly shocking news to us all

  7. QueasyDrummer00

This guy and his brother are the definition of ass clowns. I don’t know why those words go together, but the Morris twins just make it make sense.

  8. moons_a_skull

He really ends it with “guys are out of their comfort zones” as an excuse for not winning the series…

No way he has that little self awareness.

  9. SophisticatedBalls

Are there any NBA players more unlikable than the Morris twins? They once jumped a dude, Markieff had his cheap shot on Jokic, and they constantly bitch and talk shit

  10. HisExcellency20

“Put that on the record” like anyone gives a fuck what Marcus Morris has to say about the situation.

  11. KingGouda

They weren’t depressed when they tried hurting Luka in the previous. Morris can GTFOH

  12. pessimist_lakers_fan

Doesn’t excuse blowing a double digit lead in Game 5 to CLOSE the fucking series out

  13. Cdr_Peter_Q_Taggert

You’re a fucking JOKE Marcus, and you know it.

  14. IceExpensive863

Fake tough guy acting tough. What’s new?

  15. goavsgo1988

Didn’t Marcus Morris tell Paul Millsap “get ready to go the fuck home” in Game 5 and then proceeded to lose 3 straight games

  16. griffskry

Lmao copium. Everyone had to go through the same shit in the bubble. It didn’t advantage any team. You blew a 3-1 lead Marcus (and have continued to lose to the Nuggets ever since)

  17. pugofthewildfrontier

“Off the court was damn near hell”

Jfc what a line when you consider what the world was dealing with

  18. Wild how people trying to spin playing on a neutral court isn’t fair

  19. runthepoint1

Oh so now you need to be in your comfort zone to win? Soft as fuck.

This only makes the Lakers bubble chip even more impressive if this is what players really think.

  20. big_hon3y

Oh that’s weird, was Denver not also in the bubble dealing with the same shit?

Sounds like someone’s salty to me.

  21. DarthKookies

Man…millions of dollars just to play hoops. Then hooping in the bubble when millions out their jobs. Damn…that comfort zone is rough

  22. RontoWraps

Look, I’ll always have a soft spot for the Morrii because I went to KU in the early 2010s.

But this is wack. What professional lives engages in a hypothetical “we would have won *if*…”

    But you didn’t.

  23. bigdoink43

“Off the court, it was absolute hell”, says the multimillionaire athlete

  24. “Off the court was damn near hell”

Being stuck at a resort with full amenities, fishing, water slides, indoor courts, and eventually your family was allowed to come in too. Damn near hell indeed.

  25. Xc0liber

So he basically admit the nuggets were the mentally tougher team?

  26. ZiggyZiggyWhat10

Not sure what he’s bitchin about. Playing a mile high vs playing in Orlando??? Advantage Nugs opponents.

  27. PsychoWarper

So like where the Nuggets not also in the Bubble? Never seen a team cry so much about something everyone had to deak with.
