remember it says they left the bench so they got suspended. That’s on the assistant coaches and other players for not stopping them. This has been a rule for a very long time.

You know I really thought the on-court officiating of this squabble was incredibly accurate. They ejected everyone who got into it, didn’t favor either team and did so in about 5 minutes. Like, *perfectly* done by the refs. Surprisingly well done even. Eason didn’t do anything the Kings weren’t doing but they booted Metu too so tit for tat.

Green, Tate, Boban, coaches, everyone pulled Mathews back and formed a wall. Completely de-escalated the situation and as the *much* younger squad embodied what should be most important to the NBA: fan and player safety. They should be applauded, not fined or suspended. They showed maturity, can’t say the Kings did the same who all came charging down the court to get into it. Where’s the suspension for Lyles? He initiated the pushing. Where’s the suspension for Fox? He’s putting body on the ref to get past him and get into the mix. Where’s the close up camera of the Kings bench? Are we really supposed to believe they all sat in their seats during this dust up? I don’t, do you?
Saying Mathews “initiated” this when they went back to upgrade Monk’s foul on Tate is disingenuous at best.
