Just went through some plays mentally that I always liked from Warriors and was remembering the elevator screen play. Other OGs for sure also remember.. it was so efficient and amazing to watch. What do you guys think? Does it just not work anymore cause of modern lineups or does everyone simply know whats coming up?
EDIT: Was looking it up on YouTube for the younger fans. Here’s some context: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUS4vUh4M6I

Because it was a different coach
They run this sometimes on out of bounds plays.
I’m guessing it doesn’t have enough alternate actions. The split action play is much more versatile, I think. If opponents sniff this one out, it’s perhaps harder to do something else… Only a guess from someone who really doesn’t know, lol.
Kerr refuses to play the hits live, it’s all new material this tour. We all love Elevator Doors.
it’s used sometimes but disguised with different variations.
We will I’m sure. He doesn’t like to run playoff staples during the regular season. Doesn’t run heavy PNR and specifically tried and tried playoff actions. When you play a team 5 or 6 or 7 times they figure your actions out you at least wanna leave them outta the scout early on in the playoffs. Remember OKC and Cleveland had the Warriors actions figured out in 2016 it came down to execution and individual brilliance at a point.
