a team with julius randle as first option cannot be elite im sorry he’s right

  2. JohnnyWinss

Bruh they didn’t have to do them like that….but he’s also correct

  3. Kenny is easily the worst of the four, bad takes and uninformative breakdowns on the big screen

Other teams would be “young with potential”, the Knicks are “not even close”, it’s true but funny, life in NY

  4. RunThePnR

I mean who would be the worst star that could make Knicks a top 5 or 6 team in the league tho?

It would be a LeBron lol.

  5. Pandoras_Toybox

The stray the Lakers caught was more fucked up to me, Chuck lists that the Knicks need Lebron and Kenny’s like the Lakers aren’t even good.

  6. JoeBiden2020FTW

Realistically I think they are 1-2 LeBron-level players away from being contenders.

  7. HoelEmbellyDancer

Kenny was going to say the Knicks missing a 6’3 PG from NYC with super high SAT scores

Up next on First Take: Charles Barkley leaves Jordan out of his top 7 players

Literally one Hartenstein away from being the best team in the NBA. Once the offense is run through him the switch up will be crazy. It’s only a matter of time before the “joke” becomes the reality.

  10. CmonTouchIt

they should replace kenny with JJ reddick or somethin lol

  11. When I saw the post title I thought at first it was a terrific subtle burn of the Knicks by Kenny – “another piece away from *trying* to be an elite team…”

  12. TorsionDifferential

    Hey, he didn’t say himself.

Probably mostly because he wouldn’t want to play for the Knicks. But still.

    Best of all time:

Shaq: I’m gonna go out on a limb and say the Knicks make the finals

Chuck: that better be a big ass limb

Shaq: big enough to hold your big ass Charles

  14. They could have gotten Mitchell … but i guess Brunson is paying off so it was a good move not trading for him

Chuck’s reaction time on delivering comeback is the GOAT IMO.

    Simply unparalleled

  16. I mean, don’t you sort of need a superstar to contend? It doesn’t take an NBA expert to realise that the difference between a team with the 10th best rating and a top 5 team is a superstar on the level of Giannis, LeBron or KD. If we had one of those three or a Zion or a Luka or a Tatum, the Knicks would be a fair contender for the chip. Doesn’t take a NBA analyst to come to that conclusion lol.

Kenny is the nicest dude on the show. Always trying to give people the benefit of the doubt.

  18. ginja_ninja

Kenny’s face at the end, dude got absolutely GOT 😂

  19. Tetsuos_Arm

They already have BrunDAD GET WITH IT CHUCK

I mean, yeah, we are a top 10 player away from being a contender, but we’re also a team that would be a contender with a top 10 player (which isn’t automatically the case). Not saying that’s an easy place to be, but shit could very much be worse

I hate the way Randle is glossed over by fans as though he’s just some guy. He’s not just some all star. I’m not sure people grasp this man’s size and skillset. He’s a three level scorer than can defend (when engaged, although I won’t go so far as to say he’s necessarily great but his on ball defense at his best is above average to good range imo), hit free threes, and hit a three if you dare him (he’s not a sniper or anything but he’s more than serviceable from our there, enough of a threat that as a team you have to at least be aware of him). He can play point forward, although I don’t love him doing that. Underrated passer and very underrated basketball IQ, it won’t show up in the stat box but more often than not he makes the right plays and passes but gets frustrated easily when it doesn’t lend itself to easy offense. He’s a very good #2, I’m really disappointed at Knick fans treating him as though he’s just some bum. If he weren’t on that team, they’d seed just how lackluster that roster is. Grimes is meh, Quickley is overrated, Barrett is a fringe all star talent, Obi is a nice role player at best, Sims is meh…I just don’t get why Knick fans act like Julius is holding them back when tbh they aren’t that good of a team, they just have two all star level talents in Brunson and Randle overcompensating for what they lack. Yes, he’s not a top 5 player in the league but man, who exactly could they get that’s better? People need to quit treating the NBA like it’s 2K. He’s a top 20 player in the NBA (imo).

Hear me out on this one…. Donovan Mitchell 🤔🤔🤔

  23. Nunchuckery

Ya losing to the Raptors is pretty bad at this point.

  24. Altruistic-Twist-379

I mean he’s kinda right tho, idk if they can go deeper with julius randle leading that team.

  25. xpillindaass
