CHARLOTTE, NC — Boston Celtics Guard Marcus Smart was interviewed following the Celtics 130-118 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Boston has now won 7 straight games, and will take their win streak back home to take on the Warriors on Thursday night. Smart gushed of Jayson Tatum following his 51 point onslaught against the Hornets. Tatum has now passed Larry Bird for the most 50 point games in Celtics history.

Did he gush over injuring his own teammate too?
Brought the clamps for Lamello down the stretch 🗜️☘️
Love the drive and leadership Marcus brings to the Celtics. His defense is world class and he helps the team perform at a high level most every game.
I always enjoy Marcus's interviews. He's smart (no pun intended), humble, knowledgable, forthcoming, gracious, even joyful. He's one of the few who says "thank you" at the end — others often look like they're being held hostage, and can't wait to bolt away.
He's the leader we all know it
Tatum been on his shyt vs Charlotte but I want the same performance in our game vs the warriors in a few days. He always crumble when they step on the court. Hopefully he still pissed about the finals so he'll go out there and snatch the win if he really the MVP. Especially with JB out.
The heart and soul an hell of a player go Boston Celtics
Last year JT was very good, but he had the tendency to live by his shot making, and die by it on off nights. This year he has clearly worked on driving to the basket with determination and purpose. He no longer just throws up shots in his drives hoping for a call. Now he really finishes like the elite player that he is. JB has been doing exactly the same. You can see that even Grant Williams drives more now, instead of always settling for the 3. Smart, White and especially Brogden are all nasty driving to the hoop. The Celts are a deep and talented team.
