  1. I was never high on KP, thought he was soft and injury prone ( like most guys with that tall skinny frame). I wouldn’t give up anything but maybe hartenstein for him. I like this young group, if anyone has to go it’s thibs.

  2. I Liked Kristaps I was Sorry to See Him Go Because of I knew it was Because of Outside Interference and the Fact that He Brought Some Life and Hope to Our KNICKS

  3. no your wrong, us knick fans knew, we worked out every off season with dallas players and team ,his boy was dirk. who also had him leave along with his brother

  4. I was sad when KP had that awkward departure!!! He seemed like he would be an mvp candidate!!! We got lucky since he was injury prone after that knee injury!! Wish him the best tho!!

  5. Once a Knick always a Knick. I don’t boo hometown players even if they’re ex-Knicks. I most certainly do not drink the kool-aid media circus. Porzingis is a cautionary tale in sports. Sadly he’s not the only Knick who did not have a happy ending to his time at the Mecca. While KP said things he would regret, I can imagine a kid who saw how a hall of famer Carmelo Anthony was forced out then the fall out between Phil Jackson, Steve Mills, James Dolan, and questioned his future with the organization. Reminds me a little about how Checketts pissed off Bernard King who went to Washington. Porzingis is having a quiet renaissance in Washington; thanks in no small part to improved lower body conditioning. I wish him nothing but the best.

  6. Also, i cant forgive Phil…. he was calling lebron and his crew "thugs", drafting Frank over Donovan, and was so darn hands off with his job lolol

  7. What? Phil took a chance on KP….KP had the Garden rocking,,,..I was there. Kellerman on his sports show couldn't stop raving about his skills, and Smith extended an apology on the air admitting that he was wrong about KP on draft night. Let's keep in mind he was slated to be the Knicks next franchise player…all that hype. But Phil, particularly his general manager, did not want any interference nor imput about the course of the Knicks.. As a former knick fan for many years, let me say that there was no such talk as you are alluding too. It was about all the changes in personnel and how would KP fit in without his imput since reportedly they were to build around him….and KPs brother could have handled it differently. As an aside, a few years back when the Knicks played Dallas, Earl the Pearl Monroe after the game said he didn't understand why Dallas was using a "franchise" player like KP as a role player.
Yes KP was slated to replace Carmelo. The guy was an Allstar his second year. His first year, he won the Skills Competition during the Allstar weekend.
Love to see KP back in NY. He can play the 5 or 4. In NY he played the 4 and Kanter and Lopez at the 5. Enjoyed those games at the Garden.

  8. Are the brothers still representing him??

Phil was right more often than not. But the Knicks fans won’t tell the truth on that.

  9. “Do we owe Phil Jackson an apology”….The guy who was asleep during the combined and ended up passing on Donovan Mitchell for Frank Nitlikina??

  10. I liked him as a player, except he's much too injury prone. I'm really shocked that he couldn't make a go of it with Luka.!?

  11. 😂😂😂😂😂 we can’t have nice things Steph goes 7 we take Jordan hill at 8 demar derozan goes 9 😅😂😅😂😅 we can’t have nice things oooo man 2023 slogans

  12. I think it’s just a matter that he’s getting older and more mature, and realizes that he was young and made some bonehead decisions like we all have. Much respect to him for speaking up on it because it Has 3:11 to be a lot for someone young and trying to figure out his light in the NBA m

  13. We all are young and were young and made some really dumb decisions and I’ll live. He is no different. He is around a lot of pressure more than what we had to deal with in that business. I am just very happy to hear him speak about the situation

  14. Now that we’re a little Relevant.Zingis Pingis just wants back in the Garden. He misses the Bright City Lights and the Rotten Apple. Lol! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

  15. Imo If there is a way to bring him back, I say bring him back…. We all make mistakes he is humble and hes mature now… hes in the 4th year of his contract with Dallas And a player option at the end of the year… And hes lobbying to want to play in New York.. Not many players wanna play in New York right now which I don't know why.. Because the team as well as the management is really on the upside right now…. So really this might gain some traction… I just know that the front line of KP, Randle, and Robinson would be awesome…. With Brunson running the show… but would have to trade obi, I think to make the rotation work…I dunno It just depends how the organization feels about Toppin… But KP would be the perfect veteran imo

  16. Yeah I've been a harsh critic of The Zinger since he got traded. At the end of the day he probably had to deal with management like Steve Mills who poorly ran the organisation.

  17. FYI : let’s not forget the woman he raped and she was going to file charges but it never made to court .. he ran away to Dallas..

  18. Trade Toppin and Fournier

    For the Unicorn KP 👍😉

Imagine a line up like this :

    KP / Robinson
    Ju/ Hartstein
    Grimes / IQ
    RJ / McBride
    JB / Rose

  19. Sure, KP admits his faults, but the Knicks weren’t innocent in the matter either. It ain’t like they did much better after he left for a while. Also, even if that trade for Book and Markkanen, did go down, it wasn’t guaranteed that would’ve worked either.

  20. Phil traded Melo. Can never forgive that. Ruined his career but he promised it be better for him.
