I'm not to impressedwith the numbers these guys put up. With the rule changes over the years . This is what the want the game to be . Any offensive game. I like some defense being played .
With the addition of Wood and Spencer the Mavs have the help Luka needs. Luka is one of my favorite players in the league right now. But to be honest though the problem is Luka is a ball hog. He needs to have more faith in his teammates like Tim and DFS. Also a good distributor and defensive pg would help a lot so Luka isn’t always bringing up the ball slowing the game down. Someone like Alvarado. They also need to get a defensive big man. Wood isn’t a rim protector that they need in the playoffs. He is a stretch 4 not a solid defensive 5 that they will need.
The mural artist emailed Cuban first. Cuban didn't randomly email him, he responded. Of course an owner isn't going to throw their players under the bus. The mural artist also thought Cuban would invite him to a Mavs game. Luka reached out to the mural artist and the guy is changing it. It's such a non-story from a guy who wants you to talk about him. Who leaked that email? Of course the guy who wants his 15 minutes of fame. Honestly, do you think Cuban should have said? 'Yep, our team sucks. Let me invite you courtside and talk about it, since as an artist, you know better than our FO!'? Like, come on.
A very good and competent player who looks like clicking with Luka… At 20 million per year is a steal. Max deals now are in the 50 million range. Potential star at 20 is highway robbery. Christian Wood still has room to grow… I wouldn't hesitate even a bit on this. There are some pieces in the backcourt that could possibly be moved if the deal was right, but not Wood.
I swear when Green, Maxi and DFS get back into the lineup and Kidd does anything to lessen Woods minutes I’ll lose my mind. Mans too caught up with his rotations.
All I’m saying is Jason Kidd has to stop using Reggie Bullock all together, it’s comical that Reggie one game had 36 minutes but scored 0 damn points, while Jaden Hardy (a rookie) scored 10 points in only 10 minutes!
Jason Kidd also needs to utilize Christian Wood more because he’s what Kristaps Porzingis should’ve been! Yet Kidd isn’t using him much at all.
I feel like Luka is one of those players that could easily go down the same sad path as Harden or Westbrook. Phenomenal talents that could not mesh their game effectively with any team. I hope he can have better outcomes through his career than those guys.
I really hope they give him a deserving contract. He, Doncic and Dinwiddie are the only real consistent performers for the team. There are other players that can perform, like Bullock and Hardaway, but they don't do it nearly consistently enough.
I think the Brunson move was the right move in the moment. Brunson was decent, but not really helping this team win games. Dinwiddie came in and immediately made differences in games. It's good for Brunson that he's standing out in NY. Hindsight is always 20/20 and other teams have been making significantly worse moves for them to openly be hung up on this.
