I dont think we need to attach any draft compensation for Crowder tbh.

I’m not high on crowder but we aren’t using Cam or Syi so it couldn’t hurt. Just the minutes rest on our players may justify this.

i mean in all honesty id rather get a second than give one with cam for jae crowder, but if this trade were to go down its one you just say “aight” to and carry on with your day

  4. Assuming it is just a temporary move in order to get rid of Cam, would do it without any draft comp

    Legend Svi will be missed

I don’t think this trade would have any impact on our record or playoff success. Just to do right by cam i would do it. But realistically this is a nothing burger.

  6. Jae Crowder hasn’t played a professional basketball game in months. He’s not cracking Thibs rotation and the Suns aren’t playing him. I’d do it if we’re the ones getting a pick.

No, it’s probably a good trade but I really don’t fuck with Jae Crowder dude is annoying

  8. teknomatic

Isn’t the reason why he’s sitting because he wants to start? I would be okay with this as long as he’s cool with coming off the bench for us

  9. BenAfflecksBalls

With how often you hear Crowder floated around you’d almost think he was a good player.

He made a similiar trade idea for another team to get Jaden McDaniels who is younger so I would try to get Jaden instead. Fits the timeline. Another name Gary Trent Jr.

If Jae is cool coming off the bench, sure. Don’t think he will be.

A first for Eric Gordon is rough, and we need wings and forwards. Another shooting guard is probably not the best fit

Crowder is a good role player but I’d rather have someone who’s more of a shooter who can some buckets off the bounce. Crowder is more of a defensive guy.

Bobby marks forever is a idiot esp the first for Eric Gordon

In an emotion-free world I would love to do something like this, but part of the reason Crowder is not playing right now is because Phoenix wanted him to come off the bench.

I don’t see how he’d be more okay with not starting in New York.

Jae Crowder isn’t good. Reddish alone is better, no reason why we give up draft picks too

  16. stemurph88

I see no added value by Crowder, and I’m not completely sold on his attitude with our impressionable young guys

  17. lilleff512

Not sure I really see it. I won’t be losing any sleep over Cam, Svi, or a second round pick. But how does Crowder fit here? Whose spot in the rotation and whose minutes is he taking?

  18. nonotupstateny

I would do it. One of our biggest holes is a solid wing defender that can help with the superstars sfs in the league. If he can do that while coming off the bench then I say make the trade. Would rather throw more to get someone like OG but Crowder is a cheaper option.

I think that’s okay. Then move Obi and Hartenstein for like a wing scorer for the bench. Crowders health is the issue but as Randle’s back up it should be fine

Yeah I’d do this deal for sure. We need more bench contribution and Crowder provides just that.

  22. If that’s all it took to get crowder I would assume that a deal would already be done. Doubt the suns move him for that. Some other team will at least give them a srp a lot sooner than 2027. Crowder is a damn good defender. He’s exactly the type of player that could help this team to further its defensive identity. I’d make that I’ve in a heartbeat.

  23. dedbeats

Quick can’t be the only guy we have scoring off the bench and Crowder brings toughness and big shot experience specifically in the corners. So I’d def make this swap, maybe without any picks included

  24. Jimmit79

Why do ppl want crowder unless you are willing to pay him

  25. No way i’m giving up a first for 34-year-old guard like Gordon on the statistical decline who may not even be able to play enough defense to crack Thibs rotation at this age. Crowder makes a million times more sense if they think his head is ok. He’s only 31, and crazy versatile defensively if he’s willing to come off the bench for a few months.

My view is that it would be really negligent for the front office to not add another wing who thibs will play real minutes. We have players and salaries and draft picks to make something happen. The team is playing well but so clearly needs another wing to help push over the top in these close games with having everyone with just a bit more energy at the end of games and also a bit more length against bigger wings. We can do this without sacrificing our ability to trade for a star that becomes available. We have beyond enough to make a helpful trade. There’s a long list of players out there that you figure to be somewhat available that would help ranging in defensive and offensive abilities. Really not so great offensive player who can defend with length or a good offensive player who isn’t such a good defender – there’s a lot out there and either one would help a lot.
