John Wall on telling Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green to not get adjusted to losing:
“The shit y’all getting away with over there… If you go to any other teams you’d be out the f*cking league, you wouldn’t play”

Defo gives a bad look for Stone’s, but Wall also seems delusional thinking he’s still some good player that contributes to winning, he was a big part of that 20 game losing streak that was worse than anything we saw last season even though his losing streak team was atleast around the same level talent wise to that team but with more vets.
We should have definitely kept him around the team and not pushed him out (thats where Stone’s fucked up big), but he wouldn’t have added anything in terms of winning to the team last season if he started and I would rather lose with young players than with vets.
Don’t say that in the rockets sub. They’d tell you green averages 21 pts and is doing better than 2nd year Kobe
Wall should be out of the league. I’ll settle for out of the Clippers.
Green plays no D and has poor shot selection, KPJ is likely playing out of position but that’s more a roster construction issue than his issue, he’d look better playing less pg. The team as a whole has an issue where they have little more to their offense than one of those two isoing but that’s on the coach
He means playing habits and being a chucker. Obviously, they wouldn’t be chucking like that if they had a more cohesive unit around them.
I mean, watching Houston bball is like watching LA fitness pickups
Out of context he mentions he talks to them and Kenyon Martin jr just about how being on a rebuilding team is way different from a serious winning situation.
He’s not lying at all. The amount of ill-advised shots the Rockets guards take is absurd.
Gonna need a time stamp on a 2 hour video…
I can’t remember this many players/media speaking about the habits of players like the rockets recently. The whole league seems to realize there’s not accountability or gameplan for the team.
He’s right but people on this sub gonna get mad lol
Very interesting the part he talks about Silas calling him and telling him he’d be coming off the bench.
Silas telling him “man you don’t deserve this but it’s what the organization wants to do”
Like damn he really just listens to the front office no matter what. And I assume the front office is telling him to lose games lol
I knew this dude Silas was purposely sabotaging his team 😭 I can’t tell whether to feel bad for him or disgusted
Sengun is the one Rockets should be building around. He just plays basketball on a higher level than their other prospects.
I would absolutely love KPJ on the bulls, he would be excellent in a lonzo like role with better coaching and actual vets around him
People on here actually think the Rockets are good & fun to watch.. nah, they really are neither.
Rockets getting attacked from everywhere. Lmao
Rockets are just fucking around like a casual hoop game. Run the offense through Sengun.
There’s a generational rockets hater talent in this thread
Well, run the team from Segun outward then, yo
Man not that these guys aren’t all right on the money about Houston but it’s gotta suck as KPJ and Jalen to hear someone new talk about how shit their habits are every week. It’s not all on them lol the structure of the Rockets seems terrible
On the bright side Rockets tickets are super cheap right now
Some of these comments on the sub is absolute stupid af.. y’all trying to act like Green ain’t shit. He’s a young kid with a ton of talent that needs a better coach and system. Plain and simple.
It’s fucking criminal these two scrubs are allowed to chuck while Sengun is benched for Bruno fucking Fernando. It’s fucking disgusting. Sengun is gonna be a star. It’s so fucking obvious.
Im going to sit this one out. Suns are 1-2 against the rockets this year.
They play hard though. Just not smart
Rockets will be cautionary tale of tank culture.
The Rockets are tanking alright but they are also tanking their players’ development. Zero structure, culture or accountability. Guards doing my turn, your turn on offense and playing matador defense. This is how you turn into the Bobcats, Kings or god forbid the Sterling-era Clippers…
I think they are putting all their breads into one basket, hoping to draft Wemby and/or sign back Harden with their 60+ mil cap space next season. If neither works out, ooh-boy we might be in for a long ride…
The Wembayana Stimulus Package is coming, Houston. Hang tight.
The Rockets created a new version of tanking. They don’t even have to throw games, just never teach the kids how to play NBA basketball lmao
It’s even their fault to an extent man
I haven’t felt this bad about the future of the team since the Francis/Mobley days
Green and sengun both have offensive potential
Them being on a team with KPJ cannot possibly be worse
People in here are really saying KPJ has more potential than Jalen Green. We are collectively so brain broken by social media that every take just goes to the extreme. KPJ is solid and would look better on another team in a less featured role, but to say that is just reactionary
Jalen Green has undeniable scoring talent. How many players who’ve entered the league in the last 5-10 years have the ability to create shots for themselves the way he can? Maybe if the Rockets employed an actual PG he could find looks that are anything other than top tier degree of difficulty.
And I’m a Pistons fan, I have absolutely no reason to like Jalen Green. But it’s physically painful to watch a team instill such terrible habits in a CLEARLY uber talented scorer.
Perhaps, John Wall could have helped them about good habits and smart basketball if he just played there. That could have been a great chance for the youngsters to learn from him.
Worst team in the league and its not even close. A lot riding on them getting Wemby and signing Harden back, especially with them not owning their picks after this year
I’m only a bit into the interview but this is a great interview.
He says they’d be off the team trying to pull the shit they do on another team. Which is exactly what happened to KPJ on the Cavs. He tried to pull a bunch of shit and even though the team was bad at the time, they knew cutting the talented cancer out was better than keeping talented cancer around just because he’s shown flashes.
I watched the whole interview. He’s not throwing shade at all. He used Kevin porter and green as an example of a losing environment. The rockets wanted to tank. He came out and said it. They didn’t want wall playing because we’d probably have more wins. Rockets are tanking so hard on purpose. Sengun not getting minutes seems like a FO problem. And it kinda got put on display from the interview. The owner and GM are trying to tank one last time, but at the same time, it’s stunting the young players growth.
i guarantee you i would take whatever they are doing over whatever tf john wall doing
Tank for wemby
