Cade Cunningham Confirms Shin Discomfort Goes Back To Highschool, Have We Seen Cade Full Strength?

Cade Cunningham confirmed in an article from James Edwards III of The Athletic that he had been dealing with shin discomfort since high-school. Is it possible that the Detroit Pistons and its fanbase have yet to even see their #1 overall pick at full strength yet? Will year 3 Cunningham be like something we haven’t seen thus far?

  1. I’ve dealt with the same injury in high school running track my freshman year then again in the military. The fact that he was able to play through that pain for so long and be able to play as well as he did is crazy, I can’t wait to see what he’ll be like next year and I pray he makes a full recovery.

My only concerns like I stated before was the metal rod being placed in his leg and Cade confirmed that was his BIGGEST concern but ultimately the route he went. I think going the Kevin Durant route Stem Cell Replacement Therapy is the more advanced and least invasive option but hopefully everything works out in his favor, I’m glad he’s saying he doesn’t have any pain anymore that’s a great sign but he won’t fully know until he’s on the court.

  2. saddiq is a good player just a lil inconsistent if we do trade him it better make sense in what we get in return

  3. Jalen Smith 3yr 15mil
    Marvin Bagley 3yr 37.5mil

    Jalen Smith 19.9mins 9.8pts 6.0reb 1.0ast 0.9blk 46.0%

    Marvin Bagley 21.2mins 10.6pts 5.9reb 0.6ast 0.7blk 53.7%

On top of everything you said Ku we’ve overpaid for Bagley!

Everybody can go for the right price except Cade and Duren, I’m open to all options on players we just need the right return!

  4. Saddiq is kinda frustrating as he just hasn’t been consistent. Don’t know what he will give us from one game to the next. Can’t be too hard on him as his role has changed over the last 2 years

  5. I'm more of a fragile guy who gets injured. Marvin Bagley is not fragile. Injuries are extremely common and some guys just have bad luck with that. He's one of those guys. Chet holmgren looks fragile.

  6. The biggest fear of mine is Cade does not resign with the pistons and puts his first team in the rearview mirror and start over somewhere else after his contract is up.
Also I am a big Marvin believer but obviously if he can't stay healthy its a lost cause.

  7. And we haven't seen a 100% healthy Killian yet either. Next year will be a great year for our three guards. If Ivey can play under more control, we will have the number one three guard rotation in the league. I'm thinking deep into the play offs with Killian Quater Backing the offense. Watch what I tell you, like I've always said for the past two years, he's the X factor on Piston's offense.

  8. Yeah I reckon the NBA better look out because Cade is definitely built different.. I can only imagine what a weight lifted off his shoulders mentally having the surgery must be. He’s one tough dude and he’s a Piston!
