Toronto was ambushed by Minnesotas late defence. On offence too much standing around waiting for cuts late in the game signals fatigue to the other team and gets them going.
One change now could save what should be a good team. Nurse should have been gone right after the playoff loss to the Celtics a couple years ago despite him getting awarded coach of the year, which was beyond comprehension to me. He does not know how ro make a proper starting lineup as witmessed by starting Gasol in that series against the Celtics. Gasol could not score if his life depended on it. Nurse hsa no idea how to utilize his bench. If you never get to play important minutes during games, how can you be expected to just perform whenever called. When they traded away Matt Thomas and Serge Ibaka left I knew they were screwed. It would take to long to describe why losing Thomas was huge. It has now got to the point that he cannot motivate his team. This loss was on him. Players such as Anunoby shoiuld be excelling by now. Nick Nurse is not teaching properly as can be seen by Flynns and Kolokos perfomances. Fire Nurse now or lose everyone to free agency.
This MF NN love to F shit up whoever that was watching this game saw how freaking good the facilitating goes smooth through Scottie Barnes rather than Fred VanVleet. When Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam was on the bench we were up 16 points running by Scottie Barnes why did he make the switch good god just stupid stupid
Siakam lost us the game by his defense, turnovers, ISO and bricks. He should have been pulled or stopped from forcing and waisting so many possessions in the 4th.
Hopefully Siakam & Fred find a new home with a contender and we can rebuild instead of continue on a mediocre path.
We had a decade of winning season except Tampa. We expect more then then the product on the floor.
If we knew we were Tanking then we can live with that decision but if this is our team trying and we are still losing then the Raptors era of Siakam & Fred has ended and we need the Era of Gary, OG, and Scottie to start with a bunch of draft picks with our young core.
Masai & Bobby if Siakam and Vanvleet can’t get us to a championship please pull the tricker. Basketball is about winning.
The team was doing great when when OG,Scottie,Weiscamp,Thad Young Pascal was in the game bringing the lead to 18 and then Nick Nurse called time out and brought in Fred and GTJ and from there it was good night folks,why would you change what's working Nick Nurse when you could've left those guys out a little longer?
Don’t understand how Siakim can dry up regularly in a year when he is mostly outstanding. We need a coaching change. Nurse should be disgusted and embarrassed by the performance of his team this year – and he never seems to own up.
