  1. A new Blazer legend speaks about an all time Blazer Legend. RIP City RIP Mr. Blazer- We all loved you.

  2. It is a sad day. Bill had a great voice for the Blazers! Dame pays respect, 2 iconic Blazers.

  3. Just heard the news 😒 started following the Blazers during the Shonz era, condolences to his Family. Bingo Bango Bongo! Rip City forever β™₯️

  4. Bill is the ambassador of this franchise and the GOAT of Blazer broadcasting…Very grateful to grow up listening to all those amazing radio broadcasts

  5. I met Bill right after he lost his broadcasting job and he was at Stanfordβ€˜s restaurant having a drink about noon and I went over and told him how much he meant to me and he’s the reason I got into the Blazers I’m not the only one that used to turn down the TV and listen to him but we didn’t get all the games back in the day so he was our option and it was great. We wouldn’t have the name rip city without them so some tears fall down and sit it rain today in Webb City, RIP, bingo, Bango bongo

  6. I was wearing a mid 80s RipCity shirt. It was so worn out it was almost see-through. I was walking the concourse about 12 years ago and he was walking around too. When he saw he pointed straight at my shirt as if in approval and I pointed right back at him like I knew him lol. I don't even remember if we won or lost that day. I was too excited about that interaction. I'll see you in paradise Schonz….❀️

  7. it was only the other day when i saw john curry getting flattened by one of the players and everyone (including him) laughing about it. RIP john and bill, rlly r some legends man

  8. Dame is the beating heart of this organization, so much reverence for the game, and its amazing people. This is why I know Dame will never move on from here because this place is his family, his life. As for the great Schonz, he was such a Dame fan, a Blazer fan, and he loved this city through and through. May he rest easy in peace and love. His iconic voice, and one-liners will always define the best parts of this city and team.

  9. Dame you are such a class act. The fact you care about people and relationships in PDX, not just money and rings, is why you are so beloved. I'm glad you got to know Schonz. β€πŸ–€πŸ€
