  1. Clippers and Lakers both mortgaged their future into contending teams. One won a title the other still hasn't. But there has been enough time passed from the trades that the teams the LA teams and the teams they traded with are headed into opposite directions… Many say both have been complete fiascos for the LA teams, but Lakers at least got one title out of it… The league is extremely competitive right now and there are like a dozen teams going for that title hard…

  2. I say Van Fleet & Siakim to help change the clippers. Other than that absolutely love how the Thunder handle their young players & building. Even when they tanking they definitely no pushover squad just filled with Uber talent.

  3. Its pretty obvious that the load management are the " injuries".. you claim an injury you can travel and rest..

  4. i understand the criticism of the heavy load management and availability of PG and Kawhi as of late, but if critics are looking to blame them for where the clippers are seeded within the Western conference, than it might be too early to be having this conversation. Much like the Lakers and other top ranked teams with one or more superstars they've been plagued by injuries in past to both PG and Kawhi but to consider that they're the sixth seed in the west right now with their top three players having played less than twenty games together, doesn't call for much concern to me. To think that we would've even be discussing the OKC Thunder in this capacity hadn't the NBA added the "play-in" bracket because as of right now OKC doesnt have a guaranteed spot in the playoffs(despite almost halfway through the season). I'm not overlooking their chances but c'mon now, Shai is nice but he'll never singlehandedly carry a team in the Western conference to the playoffs or out of the first round. To me thats what separates guys like him and other offensively gifted players from being elite superstars. PG and Kawhi have already proven who they are as players and deserved more respect in regards to them when comes to this whole ordeal! Both players have had career altering injuries and somehow still manage to come back and play at superstar levels. Lets just enjoy the rest of this season and revisit this conversation in the off season.

  5. Injuries are up, in part, because of the spacing and speed of the game. It seems counter-intuitive, but a lot of the high speed plays that are made today even though there's less contact put more strain on the body. Driving to the basket at top speed to finish is wearing player's bodies down more.

  6. Wow, Kawhi played in January. Dude’s been off so much I didn’t even notice he’s back. Teams generally take the personality of its star and Kawhi is soft, so Clippers are gonna be soft.

  7. It's a team sport, your son is better off learning real life lessons about health and teams than getting what he wants

  8. Shout out to Stan Van Gundy speaking facts. 😂😂😂😂 glad one of the goats (KD) agrees too. Load management has been bad for the sport and have now been the reasoning for the dumb narrative “the season doesn’t matter”
    “Just wait till the playoffs.”
Yeah well what about y’all don’t make the playoffs because the players on your team don’t think the season matters.

  9. KD's one of the hardest working guys out there, sure what he did in 2016 is unforgettable but if he was lazy i wouldnt think the warriors would win 2 rings

  10. PG has been fairly healthy other than when he broke his leg. I could understand the gamble here. It's only since he hit around 30 that the injuries piled up. I mean, that's to be expected. You get older and the injuries pile up. Stuff that players could play through as a younger man now start taking days/weeks. In Kawhi's case wasn't it pretty much rumoured that the Spurs hesitated to get his contract done because they felt his knee condition was pretty bad and unlikely to get better? That's the one I kinda wonder about. Was it worth the gamble and the cost?
Honestly don't see LAC being very good for much longer and I think their window is closed. This season is probably the last roll of the dice. Kawhi is 31, PG is 32. They're not going to get any healthier. A lot of their rotation are 30+ too and being asked to pickup the slack when those guys are out. So they're not going to stay healthy either. Some of the names being thrown around are a dubious fit, DLo sticks out like sore thumb.

  11. Yo coop, just so you know…
Masai and Bobby Webster turned down the PG trade.
Kawhi wanted PG in Toronto….but the Raptors front office said hell nah. Price was too steep.

The days of cutting and pasting a team together, is over. It just doesn't work! The blueprint is drafting and developing, building a core group of guys…then sprinkle in some vets.

  12. Clippers got what they wanted.

I just can't believe The Logo was foolish enough to believe Kawhi was going to 'do' something for that cursed franchise 🤦

  13. I think its amazing that people before the season started were so high on the roster the clippers had. I would be shocked if they make the west finals. Its just like winning teams usually aren't this dysfunctional

  14. I could care less about load management I feel as if clippers have a good playoff team as long as everyone is healthy

  15. Going forward the clippers have only one more back to back left this season and they’re still in the playoff picture. Coincidentally, kawhi is rounding into shape the last couple games. The load mgmt was all part of the plan. I believe they’re going to be more focused going forward.

  16. Today's players are like today's cars. Objectively superior to the old models in performance and capabilities, but so finely tuned that anything going slightly wrong fucks up the whole works. They're focusing too much on being the most explosive athletes humanly possible at the cost of longevity.

  17. They should trade Bobby Jackson and Paul George to Phoenix for CP3 Jay Crowder and a future first-round draft pick. They'll be able to dump salary get a future first-round draft.

  18. Kawhi really fucked the Clippers organization. He's the reason they forced the PG trade. He essentially forced them to give up all their assets for 2 part time employees. Absolute highway robbery.

  19. So glad as a Celtic fan I've never dealt with any of this bullshit. Except for you know who of course

  20. Still would rather have the Clippers problems over those of OKC. Without PG, Westbrook, Melo and CP3 on the team the past 4 years, the Thunder have won 24 then 25 games and are currently a game under .500. With and without PG and Kawhi, the Clips have made either the playoffs or play-in.

  21. As someone who watches every Clipper game and a fan, it has undoubtedly been very frustrating to watch this team. On the flip side, I don't think we have seen a team take the concept of "Load Management" to this level before. I know it's not uncommon for stars to sit out games from time to time, but imo the Clippers are taking it to a whole new level. With that being said, I think the jury is still out and we can judge this team when the season is over and how far they advance in the Playoffs (Assuming we even make the Playoffs).

  22. i agree with your load management take. i think part of the issue is all the aau and specialization into specifically one sport (in this case basketball) is a huge reason why we have the injuries we do. not to mention the crazy pace of play due to rule changes helping offense over the years. as for the thunder take, i really like a lot of the players they have. they are still young so i'm in the wait and watch mode still but hey at least they aren't the rockets. thanks for the content coop

  23. Listen kawhi got enjured miss two years he it may take next season for him to be 100 percent

  24. young people are over forced with training! age between 13-17y. that is growing period and it's soo easy to over work with a person at that period. they overall body structure will be weaker because of that. that is how i understand it, and that is overall problem in sport these day's.
