Austin Rivers had an absurd interview where he said Steph was the hardest to guard because “you can’t touch him” and “he gets every fucking call.” We all know this is absurd, but it’s also very demonstrably untrue and I had never heard this stat before right now. I notice that Jokic’s arms look the same, but Steph’s are always cut up and has these huge 3-4″ scratches all over him from when people grab him off ball. Anyway, thought that was interesting that he literally gets less calls made his way than any other superstar in NBA history.

Really weird too, considering how much he has been driving the ball in the last 2 seasons.
Austin Rivers has a long history of getting cooked on like 3 different teams by Steph, like probably a 40 ppg average. He is just salty.

One of the worst whistles for a superstar ever it’s insane to be honest NBA should protect him more, but they never have done.
There must have been a point where refs realized Steph is completely game breaking when he’s given a legitimate whistle.
Combining this stat with the fact that he’s averaging nearly 30ppg without getting appropriate calls it’s kinda insane what he would average.

Steph is really bad at selling fouls. It’s commendable of him to not emphasize that in his game like so many others but it would make this team a lot better in the clutch if Steph could sell fouls like trae young does
