Wow.
Not a Pacers fan, just came here to say it sucks, Caitlin was a super interesting follow, her articles were always interesting, and the podcasts in which she’s a guest are always super toughtful
Nooo! She’s the absolute best.
What a gut punch. Hopefully the athletic or the ringer or someone like that finds her and gives her a chance.
I commented tagging KP(someone else also tagged KP), talking about the Pacers bringing her in to be a self scout for the team. I know last season I was always thinking that the coaching staff should be paying attention to what CC was writing and talking about.
She’s too good for that publication.
She may get a bigger opportunity when she wants it
She’s the best in the biz. It’s tough to make it as a writer these days. Just not much money to go around. Hopefully she will find a new platform or at least continue to do some articles as a hobby.
Nooo! Gotta believe she’ll get picked up by a major player like the Ringer. People all over the league have recognized her talent.
I hope the athletic picks her up.
She is fantastic. Wish nothing but the best for her and would love it if she continued Pacers content to some degree.
I hope she’s writing again somewhere soon, her pieces have made me a much smarter basketball fan. I hope we haven’t heard the last of her Pacers analysis nor her opinions on Outshine fruit pops.
Damn. I saw hockey and soccer were being cut, but was hopeful NBA and NFL would remain.
Really sucks. She needs a bigger platform. At the very least, I think Scott Agness should bring on another writer, but I don’t know if that’s possible with his model. Maybe with the recent price increase it will be possible.
Man the love from other NBA writers is rolling in for her. Not a question of if, but when and where she will be hired. She will have competing offers for sure.
