Honestly might be fuel for him. Focus on the Magic only.

A solid list of sophomores to be honest. Maybe a couple of arguments could be made

Eh… I really dont see it as a snub. As good as he’s been defensively let’s be real, he’s spent a good amount of his time hurt, and his offensive game has been awful.

Doesn’t mean he’s a lost cause. If anything based on his workrate I’ve seen enough to think the Magic need to prioritize his development more. But it needs to be with the understanding that Suggs is gonna be a project with a probably very Marcus Smart like career arc.

But I don’t see anyone on the roster I look at and go “Yeah this dude shouldn’t be here over Suggs.”

He was snubbed, he didn’t earn it. Availability is kinda important.

Who would you kick off the sophomore list to add Suggs?

All of those guys have either played much much better and many more minutes than Suggs overall (Sengun, Wagner, Green, Giddey, Barnes, Mobley) or are playing more minutes and more meaningful minutes as part of playoff teams (Trey Murphy, Alvarado, Hyland, Grimes)

Hard to argue for Suggs TBH, and I’d love to see Suggs succeed.

Look on the bright side, it will give him time to rest up his ankle.

Paolo getting drafted #1, Franz #2 they must split the duo or the games become unfair. I also wouldnt be shocked if Scoot hype gets him early picked.

Caleb snubbed. Caleb 2nd best rookie, all time.

  9. Missing all those games is what cost him. It looks like there’s 11 rookies and 10 sophomores, so you could argue he deserves a spot more than Jabari Smith Jr, but that opens the door to other players who might be more deserving than Jalen, which I don’t have the energy to do. Everyone on that list (minus Jabari) has had a better season, or higher impact on their team this year. Having the G league players is fun too.

He averages 9 points per game with terrible efficiency. Not snubbed

Don’t see it as a snub, guy has been injured most of the year

  12. By the overall tone of this sub, I would count myself as one of the biggest believers in Suggs’s game around here.

That being said, judging by what each player has done this year, there isn’t anyone on the Sophomore roster that should be taken out for Suggs to get in. It is what it is.

Not a snub. Suggs hasn’t played much this season. And he’s been pretty inconsistent.

I think anybody really watching him play can tell he’s going to have a bright future, but his abilities don’t always show up on the box score. Hard to expect him to get selected with all that considered

To be fair, defense doesn’t really sell in all star content, be it rising stars or the main game on sunday, so it doesn’t surprise me, nor disappoint, really – Suggs might have taken an ok (nothing amazing, but hey, progress is progress) leap from last year to this year, but he’s also been out with an injury for like half of our games, so makes sense he wouldn’t be called up over any of these other sophomores (and frankly i might see like only one or two names i’d put him over in there, that class is STACKED).

I totally see it as a snub, dude is a legit great defender, future all defense. Half these guys are all offense and no defense, Suggs is the opposite, gotta count for something
