The sad part is that they will most likely not make any good trades because they simply can not bring anyone meaningful to help LD77. Nobody special is available and they don't have much to trade with.
I’m hoping we land Cam Reddish.. mark my words he will be a great fit.. help develop him into a 2nd star that we need..
I’m concerned Kidd will blow any potential players fit from trades like we are seeing out of CWood. Even if he’s going to be a trade he should be being built up by coaching staff not just Luka

Full Deadline Plan
1st trade (3 teams) :
Mavs receive : Covington (we get a really solid 3&D wing to probably come off the bench)
Clippers receive : Holmes (They need a backup Center , they don't really use Covington that much and in the playoffs , his minutes will drop even more)
Kings receive : Powell (they don't even use Holmes and they clear cap space to re-sign Barnes)
2nd trade :
Mavs receive : Noel (He's a solid Rim Protector, mostly defensive Center who has played in Dallas in the past)
Pistons receive : McGee , Ntilikina and a 2nd round pick (they don't even use Noel because they have 2 younger Centers so I guess they get a 2nd round pick + they save few millions for nothing)
3rd trade :
Mavs receive : Garry Trent jr (He's a better scorer + younger than Tim but most improtantly he's FAR MORE CONSISTENT than Tim in terms of showing up in the majority of games)
Raptors receive : Hardaway and two 2nd round picks (according to reports they want 2 good second round picks or 1 protected first)
4th move :
Extend Wood for the money that he's eligible (I think 77 mil / 4 years)
Starting lineup : Luka – Trent – Bullock – DFS – Wood
Bench : Dinwiddie – Green – Covington – Kleber – Noel
Overall the team improves ALOT defenively (which is our most improtant issue ahead of the playoffs) , we add more and better shooters and we improve our bench massively (because of Dinwiddie) which was a huge issue for us in the playoffs for few years now
Everybody is on contract untill summer 2024 . This summer we can sign someone with the middle exception (around 10 mil) and then go for minimum contracts with someone like Dragic . At that point we will have pretty much 2 good lineups and 1 solid reserve lineup , 3 tradeable first round picks , 4 first round swaps and we will be ready for the moment a wanted star becomes available

Late 1.round pick and a solid 25 min a game role player have basically equal trade value. The only difference is, the first round pick doesn't give you 25 minutes a game until you trade either one of those.

I don't get why they'll wait for off-season to get a big trade or signing like who is available though, like realistically there's no one except role players. I don't see it work in any way, I'll have hope if this team is not the Mavs because I don't understand why any other team can do meaningful moves every year but Mavs remain incompetent year after year after year.
Pistons get: THJ 20M, Bullock 10M, Powell 11M plus 1st round pick unprotected.
Mavs get: Bojan 20M, Bagley 12.5M and Noel 10M

Mavs aren't gonna get a big name star. Luka is going to make a player like CWood into a star by playing with HIM… as they continue to gel together. Like Pippen did with Jordan. I know that's before y'all's time.
