A career-high 25 points from Deni Avdija and 21 points from Bradley Beal as the Washington Wizards beat the San Antonio Spurs 127-106 on Monday night. Avdija has looked like a new person the last few games since the Rui Hachimura trade opened the door for him offensively and he took that up a notch with his career-high on 10-for-12 shooting. He also added nine rebounds, a block and a steal. Regardless of the numbers, how Avdija is getting his offense looks different. He is reaching deeper into his bag than ever before, perhaps a sign of confidence from the added security he has in his role.

The day will come and he will again talk about him and Luka Doncic in the auto trial, he is so talented, give him the ball and give him more passes
go deni
Great video, love Deni!
Danny needs to be more consistent and self-confident, so far he is not living up to expectations
Definitely not the best Israeli player of all time, but he can be if he will keep improving.
With Deni you just need to give him the ball. Give him the ball and the freedom to attack and he will show what he can do. Putting him as a 3 shooter is the biggest mistake brooks made. Deni was never a great 3p shooter.. He just got a bit better at in since he came to the NBA. Actually he wasn't even a great defender in israel. He just has the ability to work hard and improve himself all the time.
His confidence is rising as he knows the team needs him to stay aggressive. It takes a lot of players 2-3 years to develop their potential in the NBA. It looks like the Wizards patience has been rewarded
deni has a great upside,he is a great all around, and if the improves his shooting that would make him a much more complete player
I'm surprised by the way that they are playing I thought that after the trade there was going to be a letdown but the reserves have really stepped it up and they are doing it on the road
Turbo 🏎️
Hell no I won't pass up this 'i told u so' moment. Please go back and look at comments in one of your old videos about Deni (about a year ago), and you'll see a solid prediction from me about him. It looked outlandish at the time and you said as much in response.
Deni still soft under the basket but he is improving..
Fully agree Scott Brooks hurt alot of our young talent. Dude wasn't a very good coach. He was blessed to have young KD and Westbrook to carry his poor coaching and land him a big job afterwards.
But what if they traded him to the Pacers so they could give Kispert more playing time 🤔
I think the natural comparison for Avdija is Ben Simmons, which is why I am glad they forced him to learn to play off ball for 2 years. Simmons came in to the league and was told to just do what he does and became a star overnight, but because of that never learned how to add to his game. After all, why add to your game when you are already an all star before your second contract?
Avdija has worked on his game really hard and has gotten to the point that I don't wince when he shoots a 3. He has learned how to provide value on defense and as a rebounder, he has learned to provide value when he is leading the break, and he has learned how to provide value when he isn't having plays designed for him. If you are an above average defender, rebounder, and effort guy without being an offensive detriment then you are a good starter on most teams in the league, and now they are starting to let him work on his on ball decision making more.
Fun to watch!
If the wiz keep on playing smart basketball deni will keep this numbers .
He want to play good basketball not kuzma Bill and kp forcing shots.
The stats vs the spurs of 7 players taking 8-14 shots and not kuzma bil and kp taking 55-65 and the rest 25 .
he's only 22, watch out for more beasting in the paint
Glad you covered my Wizards. I am very optimistic for the second half of the season… when I think of what Deni could be for us, I think he can be what the Nets want from Ben Simmons. A play making forward that is their best defender. I expect big things out of Kispert and Advia
As someone who saw Dani's games before the prophet, this is only a little of what he can do, he just needs confidence and he will give much more defensively as
well and certainly offensively
The turbo is coming
Listen the everybody loves to shit on the Wizards because they feel they have no direction but let’s be honest for a second. This team can compete with any team in the league and for the most part has been in most of their games this season. They severely lack consistency but Kuz, Beal, KP, and this season Deni have all proven they can pop off any night and the rest of the team is just great at doing they’re jobs. Gaff protects the paint, Monte protects the ball, Taj comes in and brings energy and toughness off the bench. None of these guys are superstars but this is team is well built and ik everybody just says we’re mid but i’d rather have this team that competes night in and night out with every team in the league rather than a tank job
deni is on fire for real
Love this kid!
You're absolutely right…I've been doggin' Deni and Kispert for a while now because they both took a long time to start gelling. They look good in certain plays but the numbers weren't there. Now, I realize that just maybe it wasn't their fault as much as the coaching…and it looks like Unseld is finally catching on. Putting Gafford in the starting line-up to take some of the burden off of KP. I think he's getting a feel for his players…when to sub…who can do what. It's like the whole line-up is suddenly clued in. It now appears that this team has an abundance of talent…and winning helps…a lot! Also, I was surprised at the Hachimura trade…but it makes sense to me now, It has allowed Deni more minutes and the pace of the game has picked up. I liked Rui, but I think his talents don't quite fit this team…good luck in LA. Let's hope they can keep the momentum up and avoid injuries!
Wizzs can become even better. history shows that KP start to play better after an all-star break.
in this game KP showed that he wants to catch up with NBA elite center play makers like Sabonis and Jokic. all are European, by ze way… he is a far away from them, but his intentions are clear. i get that Deni deserve the spotlight today. but man KP had a game!!!! 7 assists (seven!!!). 3 steals and 5 blocks on top of that. not even mentioning points scored.
He’s got the opportunity and he’s seizing it. Wizards will be a tough out for whoever they play in the first round (if they get there)
יאללה דני
This is how Miami need to use Jovic at the 4 once he get stronger and healthy
never heard of him but he looks promising
I agree ! You’re spot on!!
Great video. Deni always reminds me Dejan Bodiroga, who is one of the greatest ballers of the Euroleague's history. He's very versatile and with confidence he can be a lead player.
not the best Israeli ever yet because he still need to prove himself in the NBA
Omri Caspi is the best Israeli for now he was playing mostly for the Kings and won a championship with the warriors(he was out in the playoffs due to an injury)
He isn't the best Israeli player of all time. Watch on YouTube Miki berkoich. He was an all star nba player but didn't played in the NBA because macabi tel aviv didn't want to.let him go
Denni is a lot better than Luka on defense. A lot. Luka is just amazing on offense. But denni can be an all star . You just need yo give him confidence. The coach have to trust him completely. Only than the wizards can be in the NBA finals. Trust me. I know denni since age 14
