This is exactly why you don’t trust ANY win streak by the Wizards. They have not deserved the benefit of the doubt. This is what you get with a mediocre team – occasionally win streaks mixed in with a bunch of losing ones.

Players could’ve played better. Hero ball at the 4th quarter most stop. My biggest problem is WUJ not reacting fast enough when we start losing the lead, unfortunately it’s always been like that.

WUJ wasn’t built for managing a game. Can’t let this happen to your team back to back nights. I don’t care if. Brad or Kuz or out, we still have KP and we just let a bench player go off for 40+. It’s like what happened with Simmons but somehow even worse. Add this to the Clippers loss, the worst blown lead in a regular season game ever, and it’s clear that even if we made the playoffs, this guy isn’t catapulting the team with any of his schemes. He’s not the guy for this franchise, just like our current players.

I will say that was a classic Wizards loss. There were no adjustments on Cam Thomas just like how there were no adjustments on Wattford and Simmons last night. They got hosed by the refs no doubt. Very bad no calls when the Wizards attacked the basket and lots of ticky tack fouls down the stretch for the Nets.
But we got calls too and free throws we’re the main reason that we lost. Wiz did enough to win but the missed free throws were too much. Lack of adjustments on defense did them in. Lots of blame to go around but cmon now

As a once casual nba fan, this was the first full game I watched in probably the past two or three seasons. I can’t believe people watch this stuff, to be honest. The way the game revolves around the refs deciding whether the contact that occurred all game is now a foul is insane.
There’s a big thing about how KP is smart for baiting Claxton to hit his hand, because when KP shoots 2.5 seconds later, it becomes a foul. Huh? Or KP standing still under the rim with his arms down is a foul because the offensive player threw himself at him and yelled AHHHH while looking at the ref. And then the game of decided on whether or not a judge looking at at 8 inch monitor can tell whether the ball is at the peak of the parabola or less than 1 mm past it…and people take it seriously. Then they had this big replay Bradley Beal’s reaction to Gafford’s dunk and the foreground shows that the defender had his hands hitting Gafford wrists, but no one mentions it? Isn’t that a foul?
Fouls are either called way to common or not common enough. It’s mind boggling, and I’m pretty sure there are times where the refs were even looking at the basket to see the ball with him before they decided whether the call a foul or not. What the hell lmao. How do people watch this?
