When the eye test and actual statistics line up exactly
I knew we were bad but Jesus Christ…
The way this sub cries about Luka not tracking back on defense, I was expecting Mavs to be the number one defense in the games without Luka, not dead last.
Its crazy our defense gets WORSE with Luka out, not better. Its a team issue with the defense this year, cant really point out a single player.
The literal textbook definition of “Most Valuable”
Yep. This confirms that all of our players not named Luka are way to valuable to trade away. Only a fool couldn’t see that we have at least two or three untouchables.
Anyone who can be traded should be. Roster is a bunch of spares and, unfortunately, everyone in the league outside our front office knows it.
Brutal really.
roster is bad , coaching has no clue at times and certainly no offensive schemes outside of iso and simple p&r action
By net rating the mavs without doncic this season are the 2nd worst team in the last 20 years (net rating of -11.9)
on paper it’s 0-7, but we all know it’s 1-7. still terrible though
Thanks MC, Donnie, Nico.
I’ve been saying if you watch the Mavs without Luka, there’s no way you can say he isn’t the MVP. This team would be contending for the worst record without him.
To be fair its 0-7 with:
– 7 times no Kleber
– 4 times no Green
– 2 times no DFS
– 2 times no Wood
Doubt the Mavs finish 4th last year, if DFS/Kleber would have missed so much time either. They might be a play in team last year. No way Bullock would have carried the defense alone last year.
To be fair it’s usually no Luka + a combination of another decent player.
“MAYBE we’ll do something in the off-season, but rest assured there will be five stories about how we *almost* traded for guys to show that we’re working very hard and taking this very seriously!”
