Hey Heat fans! If you remember last year I created [this post](https://old.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/sshhg5/polling_the_nba_subreddits_results/?ref=share&ref_source=link) based on a project I did with each individual team subreddit. Let’s run it back based on how fans are feeling about their teams going into the all-star break.
I attempted to do an end-of-the-year project as well with each subreddit at the conclusion of last season, but due to some struggles with the team subreddits, this plan was thwarted. I’m here again to give it a try, and this will be the only post in the subreddit.
I’ll be closing the link at midnight on 08-FEB-2023 so please make sure to participate and share it with any other fans you may know. Appreciate your help, and of course, results will be posted for each team in their respective subreddit, and the full collection in r/NBA.

Heat are in a very precarious position in that they have an aging superstar, a young all star and a budding young scorer but are not willing to go into luxury tax to fill out the roster. They have 2 players who are dead money and have little value, and are difficult to move without adding picks. It seems like they are basically playing out this season and waiting for another star to become available, although they may not have assets to get any trade done and no one leaves in free agency anymore. We probably have to accept this is a lost season and move on. It’s tough to stomach because league is so wide open right now.
It’s also frustrating because we are one of the only team in the league like this in limbo (raptors are blowing it up, bulls are a closest comp but we are better). Lakers, clippers, mavs, suns are all in and will likely overpay to win now.
This is the worst season in a while. Everyone should be prepared for a first round out, but might be more disappointed because butler and bam are the two best players in the series
Well, we’re at the point where this fanbase is at civil war. Not making any apparent changes from last year’s problem, some players being overpaid for their worth, too many undrafted players, injuries being downhill, losing winnable games, and many close games.
The only bright sides are Bam and Herro’s chemistry getting stronger
Bam being an All-Star again, along with his offense being improved
Herro’s defense improves despite being a hit or miss at times
Jimmy being Jimmy
Dipo is getting healthier “until recently.”
and drafting Jovic
It’s just frustrating how a “one shot going to the finals” turn into not winning anything this year

Average straight up
M I D
Everyone besides our top 3 have taken a step back.
Herro is still a traffic cone on defense.
Feels good to fill in half of these questions with “Bam Adebayo” 🙂
I’d give this team a fat ass 5. We don’t suck. We’re not good. Perfectly mid.
This is really stupid, but if we’re not competing this season I hope UD gets a ton of minutes somehow so he can have fun his last season
Heat have two stars that hurt each other’s game. The young one doesn’t have the offensive skills to play complementary basketball to the old one. So rather than magnify they subtract; Our offense sucks.
You can’t win a chip with an offense in the 20s. I’m really interested to see what the FO does this offseason. Maybe KD will ask out now that Kyrie Irving is gone, KD has the skill to play with, and magnify, anyone.
