I think it’s obvious the Nets are going to trade Durant before the end of the trade deadline. I don’t know how they continue with a guy that doesn’t really want to be there.

The interesting development is Cam Thomas looks like he could be a star player and Nick Claxton is playing well. They don’t want to trade them and I think they made a decision to build a young team around them. Let’s see what we can get back for Kevin Durant.

As much as I love KD and his game, I honestly low-key can’t wait for him to leave, so Nets can concentrate on basketball and not on soft-ass moves from KD, every time something goes not *his* way. Even though FO told him that they will do whatever is required to keep him on a team.

Like, dude, just play a fucking ball and get your jersey retired with us. Why do you have to do this dumb shit every summer.

    Edit: spelling

I hope not but fear you may be right. His silence is deafening. We’ve seen this movie before.

If someone sends us a big offer trade kd now and be done with it. Find a way to offload bum Simmons as well. This may be our best shot to get Phoenix to unload everything with their new owner. I’ll take 7 unprotected picks from Phoenix and bridges.

  6. EddyTreeNJ

An interesting development probably means some team made an offer that the Nets really like.

  7. something big is gonna happen today.. no inside sourcing but there’s just that feeling with all this reporting.. whether that’s KD buying in and us getting another star or us finally cutting bait and trading him away? guess we’ll find out

Wouldn’t bother me one bit if he’s gone by the end of the week. He was a flop, the Durant/Irving era was a failure and I wouldn’t mind ripping the band aid off and starting fresh

S/o ppl calling us doomers. We just know how to read a room

Give me Simons, Sharpe, and all of Portland’s picks

My only issue is I think we could get a better return in the off season. It’s obvious Cam and Clax are something special, but not ready for a title run just yet so if KD wants to leave then I wish him the best. I’ve enjoyed watching him as a Net just as much as I’m sure I’ll enjoy watching him play elsewhere.

Oh wow. I thought him sitting on the bench with the team was a good sign, but maybe he was just saying goodbye. What happened with them trying to get Siakum, did that fall through?

I thought he would at least play the year out, but maybe not. It’s not that surprising, he’s always been more of a follower than a leader. I’ll just be glad when all of this is over in a few days.

OKC seems to be the team with the most assets to get KD

  14. If they don’t trade him then I can see them shutting him down so he doesn’t mess up his trade value.

Trade his ass. I don’t trust him with Kyrie gone. KD has proven to be a bum ass bitch sucking on kyrie

Honestly, I’d rather we trade KD for a future and build around Clax/Cam/Dinwidddie and work from here. We’re not REAL championship contenders. There’s just no way we’re getting over Boston/Milwaukee/Denver in a 7 game series, especially without Kyrie (even if I hate him).

I’m likely biased, I loved the ‘19 young squad and the underdog narrative that came with it. It’s clear our “big 3” didn’t work. If we have to suffer through Ben for a few years fine, but let’s focus on building a better team later with the picks we own later down the line.

Pretty sure what changed is the Nets realized the unwinnable situation their stars put them in and the league has made it known they’re ok sabotaging trades to tank the Nets’ season in the hopes of getting KD in the summer.

That or KD asked out again.

  18. TribalChiefSamiZayn

Waiting for this trade deadline to be over so I can know who is on the team

  19. Popeyes_chiggen

I’m not sure why people think kd is going to stay. It’s not like he’s just been happy with everything and kyrie was the only problem. He demanded a trade before the season started

  20. NoRosesXVX

Trading KD would decimate this franchise. Never again will a big name free agent come to Brooklyn. Don’t know if I have another 08-12 16-18 run in me.

  21. lxkandel06

Why is everyone reacting to this as if Windhorst has any reliable information

  22. JadeandCobalt

I was somewhat optimistic he’d stay at least through the end of the season but I’m less and less sure each day, or hour at this rate.

  23. DNAABeats

Cannot believe in the last 7 days we’ve gone from.

    – Can’t wait for KD to return to push this team on for playoffs.

    – Kyrie will leave.

    – KD injury pushed by another 2 weeks

    – KD may leave before deadline in 24hrs.

    Honestly what a cruel sport.

  24. seeda4708

If they’re now interested then an offer must be compelling. Get the haul and let’s start this new chapter that is coming this summer anyway. Didn’t work, tried, time to call it.

  25. pizzathieff

I want the KD/Kyrie era to be over so badly at this point. I’m so tired of this annual shit show.
