Trade Clarkson for a first. Trade Olynyk, and Rudy

These next 26 games better be losses. I don’t mind losing, if we get Amen, Henderson, or Victor in the draft

Gonna miss Mike. He was a true professional. It’s too bad things didn’t work out here the way we hoped when we brought him in, but we had some good times.

  3. I know it’s one game and too small of a sample but it’s time to expect 20+ point blow outs for the remainder of the season. I’m relieved I didn’t get a season ticket this year as that selected group of fans should get at least a partial refund for this year.

Tonight’s trade was by far the biggest season let down with all the momentum this group had going with it.

This is what it’s going to be from now on. Pain.

I hate this I know it’s for the better but losing on purpose isn’t fun…

Gotta remind myself it’s only for 25 or so more games.

We had such a good thing going. But I guess Ainge wants to commit to the tank:/

If you’re Lauri and Kessler, how do you stay motivated?

I know the idea is to tank but i can’t imagine it’s fun to know the rest of the season is going to suck

boy… tonight sucked, and was so hard to watch… but it’s for the better future of the team
gonna miss Mike, and Beasley, even NWA

    GAME NOTES:

We all saw what happened pre-game, so I won’t touch on that.

Sexton looked good in his first start. 22 points, 4-5 from 3, and 5 assists and rebounds each on top of no turnovers. He was cooking in that first half, and it makes me excited for him to be our PG of the future.

Kessler kind of struggled against Minny. He struggled against Naz Reid especially, and when Naz was on the bench Kessler cooked more. Also, nobody could find him on the pick n roll like Conley could. He still finished with 14 points 9 rebounds (4 offensive) and 3 blocks. So although he got his stats, I feel like he wasn’t the same Kessler we are used to.

Olynyk shot the second most shots on our team, and that usually isn’t a good sign. 6-14, 14 points, and just one assist. We need a little more from him passing-wise in the absence of a pass-first player.

It’s always a bad game when Rudy Gay shoots 12 shots. I’m looking forward to the idea of him being gone by this time tomorrow :))))))))))) please danny please I can’t take it anymore

Agbaji needs to show more offensively. He needs to fill that Beasley role as a confident shooter but with better defense. Our bench unit is extremely weak right now, and we need somebody who can go in and score. 0-4 tonight with not much else besides 4 rebounds (2 offensive)

THT got solid minutes as our backup PG, and did have 5 assists which is great. He had 15 points as well, and went 3-3 from the line. He was a -19 in his minutes, but that is moreso the product of who else played those minutes with him.

Markkanen scored 21, and shot 50% while doing it, but just didn’t seem the most aggressive despite him taking the most shots of Jazz men. He had 5 rebounds and 3 assists with it, just a not so impressive game.

I think that’s the story of this game, just not so impressive. We started off shooting hot, 11-21 from 3, but then went 1-11 afterwards. Meanwhile, the Wolves also started 11-21 from 3, and proceeded to go 12-22 in the same amount of time to blow this game wide open.

Defensive effort was lacking. We forced just 2 steals all game which is embarrassingly low. We also only had 5 blocks.

I was impressed with how little turnovers we had. Usually with no Conley, we turn the ball over frequently. We actually forced more turnovers than we had!

Clarkson was terrible. 3-13, 1-5 from 3, and just 8 points. He did pick up the passing slack with a team high 6 assists which is great. If our backcourt of Sexton and Clarkson can pass like this regularly we will be in good shape.

Our perimeter defense was still terrible, no surprises there. We allowed 61 between Nowell and Edwards on great shooting.

We actually rebounded pretty well tonight, having 21 oreb’s, 29 dreb’s. We just couldn’t stop anything the wolves did, they shot 57/54/100 splits.

We also gave up the most points in any half so far this season, which isn’t good. 77 points in the first half…… yikes

27-29 bitches. TANK FOR WEMBY HAS BEGUN

Shoutout /u/Andrewski18 from two days ago

Damn lol Vibez going south quickly I remember everyone was hyped when the Jazz were 1st and Timberwolves were 12th. Now Ainge does a deal to help the lakers for no reason and begins the real tanking. All the Doomers are coming out of hiding.

  13. MadMadMad2018

Can someone please explain why in the world we made that trade today?

  14. sanchopanza84

Without Conley balancing the offense the remaining games are going to be damn near unwatchable.
