How did clippers get plumlee when we were offering $2m more, and a SRP?

  2. hustleology

Keep that Fire Rob Pelinka energy!!! We kept the files(Screen shots)

  3. As someone who hasn’t been following the Lakers since Lebron came, please tell me how to feel. Are we good now? Are we bad now?

  4. Ascaris_Egg

Can we take Bev again if he gets bought out?

  5. Wow. No thank you tweet to Russ, no acknowledgment that he’s gone. Amazing, the Lakers were fed up with him.

  6. LordSugarTits

Soooo ummm who’s playing tonight? We get to play with any of our new toys?

  7. Scottie Pippen Jr gets to play with his step dad! Lol.

  8. surely the lakers get the 9 seed, go 2-0 vs pelicans/timberwolves/clippers in the play-in, beat the nuggets, mavericks, suns and then the celtics/bucks!

  9. elijahsantos

I’m just really excited to see how this plays out, glad we did something and didn’t just let the season die

  10. Danny_III

How do our TPEs compare to the contracts teams like the Suns could offer on the buyout market? I hope the Lakers take a flyer on Green, there’s good upside with that move

  11. Curious_Guy22_

Honestly I can’t help but just be frustrated.

Rob did the hard work. He got a good trade for Russ. All he had to do today to make me think this team could make a serious move and be a threat in the post season was sign a high level 3 and D shooting guard.

Sorry, but how are you all trying to pretend that a deadline day of Thomas Bryant and Pat Bev for Mo Bamba is a good move? None of you would have taken that if offered it this morning.

If they’d moved those two and a first to Toronto and we’d signed Gary Trent Jr i’d honestly have confidence a title could be won. Dlo/Trent/Bron/Jarred/AD would have been a great 5. Shooters. Defence. Height. Elite.

Now? There is literally not a single starting level shooting guard on this roster. Not one. That’s absolutely insane. Having Beasley/Reaves/Lonnie all on the same roster is so redundant.

Would have been much better placed just keeping Bryant, signing another center in the buyout, and moving Bev and Lonnie together with a first and second for Trent.

If Beasley can work his ass off and become a good defender though then that solves the problem. He did say once he wanted to be an all defence player so who knows.

  12. RealPunyParker

BTW, never forget trade value, because we’re the Lakers, DLo is a valuable trade asset. For future endeavours.

  13. mo3mon3y

we need a lock down defensive guard.
Dlo and Beasley are not good defenders.

  14. Sin-A-Bun

Our biggest problem is Ham now, not talent

  15. JayDeeLA

Reggie Jackson is likely being bought out, I personally would like to see him as a good 6th man off the bench. Plus he wouldn’t even have to move out of town.

  16. After tonight I pray to god Ham brings Dennis off the bench. Being back in his natural role as an aggressive 6th man would do wonders for roster balance and size.

  17. Some of us in this sub will need to suit up for tonights game.

  18. Mental-Formal141

how confident are you that Lakers are making the play ins?

  19. Ok_Refrigerator_3016

So wait who’s playing tonight? Is DLo or Vanderbilt or Bamba?

  20. FKKallDAY

Y’all are going to love Bamba, not only because of his basketball prowess, but also because he brings along with him u/sincerefan !

Sincerefan is a pure joy to have around and he makes the best posts that are never too long and always short and simple and reasonable and succinct and to the point.

    Enjoy you guys! ❤️

  21. Significant_Night_65

The Westbrick stans had not pained /r/Lakers for 19 years. All was well.

  22. Curious_Guy22_

Just asked in the Jazz sub for evaluation of Beasley.

Opinion is he’s horrific on defence, and incredibly low IQ on offence and will have a tonne of 3/11 from 3 point games where he becomes ‘a black hole on offence who you can’t pry the ball away from’

Positives is when he’s on from 3 he’ll go 8/11 and also that he is a great finisher at the rim.

    Hmmm.

Edit: Another opinion is “only redeeming quality is 3 point shooting” and “huge negative on defence and slight positive on offence.”

  23. No-Equipment-20

Thomas Bryant is going to look really good on the Nuggets. Aaron Gordon can cover for his lack of defense and he’s a significant upgrade from Deandre Jordan

  24. No-Equipment-20

It’s still a shame Ham never tried AD and Thomas Bryant together. Lebron openly talked about it, and if it worked maybe TB doesn’t request a trade

  25. JaxonStormBorn

This sub has a tendency to overrate new players

  26. predict_irrational

I hope nobody got a side chick in the locker room when Russell shows up =)

  27. conwaythemachine

Wish we were able to pick up Gary Trent Jr or one of the wings Brooklyn has

  28. NormanisEm

I’m kinda bummed about TB. Idk much about Reed but doesnt seem to me like it was a trade worth making. Feel free to correct me if I missed something though

  29. LALyfestyle

The rest of the NBA denying we have a good roster seems like copium to me. We have a squad

  30. diamondisunbreakable

Gotta update the sub header with new players

  31. Lunaravenpearl

Anyone able to give a rundown of the current situation on future Lakers draft picks? (That is- year-by-year, 1st and 2nd round) I would be grateful!

  32. Top-boy-og

A little sad about Bev. In his short time here he created so many hilarious memories we will never forget 🤣 also he brought good energy to the team and last 10 games was shooting 38% from deep, I think it shoulda been lonnie getting shipped out

  33. Nelhitemup

Are the new guys playing? This is a must win game

    >Wolves writer, Jon Krawczynski, on Dan Barreiro’s radio show, had some dirt to share on D’Lo / Gobert relationship
    >
    >I’m paraphrasing here, but he said that Dlo openly talked shit about Gobert in front of teammates and other teams and coaches, sometimes even on the floor. He said that Dlo wore his dislike of Gobert “on his sleeve”.
    >
    >He also said that Dlo did not want to throw lobs to Gobert and had little interest in working with him.
    >
    >Several times media came into the locker room and could hear Dlo being frustrated with having to play with Rudy, and Jon insinuated it was awkward to hear.
    >
    >Rudy also knew that Dlo did not like him and it made things uncomfortable
    >
    >Rudy very excited about Conley, can trust him – did not trust Dlo

  35. aginglifter

Bamba is another a Damion Jones, I fear.

  36. whiskeyinthejaar

I am surprised no GM is moaning that the Nets traded KD without shopping him around first… maybe it only us that rail everyone

  37. StoneColdAM

Charles Barkley said Lakers did a good job this deadline, so you know we did really great

  38. Curious_Guy22_

Not so much post trade discussion but i’m already thinking about the off season.

Can see Bron requesting a trade still. Which I think is fine for the Lakers tbh. Good actually if they work smart. Trading Bron and AD could make it possible to completely retool this team. Imagine AD to Chicago and Bron to the Warriors.

You’d get a haul and some great starting pieces. AD/Beasley for Lavine/Caruso/Williams and a first. Bron for Poole/Wiggins and a first. Move both firsts and all the seconds with Poole to Utah for Marrkanen and then the 2 firsts they’ll have to trade for themselves to the nets for Claxton with Bamba.

Dream land but Russell/Lavine/Wiggins/Marrkanen/Claxton sounds damn good to me for a title push. Caruso/Reaves/Rui/Williams/Vanderbilt back up? Damn.

  39. Dang is 17-10 doable the rest of the way? Count tonight as an L obviously.

  40. Bev was garbage and unplayable. Glad he’s gone

  41. gergab1133

Russ was a horrible fit , but he was available almost every night and always put in effort, that alone I can respect.

  42. Rathalos88

What’s shocking to all of this to me is the news coming out about how WB was toxic in the locker room and Ham was actually going off on him. Always thought he was a Russ stan. Russ seemed really egotistical the way the reports went down.
