So after all that talk about his potential value, we traded Plumlee for a 2028 Clippers second round pick

So we made the trade to get Mason on a better team? Did Mitch owe him a favor or something?
Everyone knew he’d get a buyout if he wasn’t traded. Pretending we would get much at all was unrealistic
If you really thought we would get more than a single SRP for plumdawg you are really fooling yourself. Yes he’s had a good stretch recently but teams are not dumb, he’s a solid backup but he’s not a great starting center.

People are upset at what they got in return, but literally anything was fine. The absence of Plumlee is better for development of this team. That’s not a knock on him, either. He had a great year by his standards. But, his presence on the team meant Mark and Nick couldn’t both play.
