I know Pat Bev will be bought out, but a Suggs, Beverly, Chuma, JI Moe's Wagner line up would be fun for a small stretch. No offense, but my goodness, the D and intensity would be a thing of Beauty.
This team can be an elite defensive team as J.I. and Suggs are superior, aggressive, big and fearless and Cole, in spite of the constant “trade him” calls from Magic casuals, is really good. But the Magic are not OKC, but good and young and Kelle is your leader.
Since they got back to fully healthy, there's a really simple objective measure of if Orlando will win or not. It's the 3 point makes differential. As long as it's no worse then -5 made threes, then they have a GREAT chance to win, regardless of opposition. If it's worse, then they have very little chance. And looking at the makeup of the team, it makes sense. The good news is, they don't have to outshoot ANY team. The bad news is that their defense (from a stat measurement viewpoint) is somewhat based on if their opponents long ball falls or not. In short, they can concede 5 extra points from the arc but not 6. In a salary cap sport, that's a big concession to give up and still be able to compete.
