The Atlanta Hawks expected to be one of the best teams in the league when they acquired all-star guard Dejounte Murray. But midway through the season, it hasnāt panned out the way they expected. If they want to become one of the best teams in the eastern conference, hereās one trade they need to make by the February 9 deadline.

Well the difference maker in this scenario is that the wizards think that kuzma is christ himself, so unless the hawks offer 4 frp's they are stuck with a inconsistent guy like Collins for however long they have him
No, there's no trade is gonna happened, that's the owner thingš¤¦š¤¦š¤¦š¤¦
āStacked Eastern Conferenceā *Proceeds to Show Nets
2020-2021
Hawks start playing defense under Nate but the teams elite shooting surrounding Trae bailed out Nates poor offensive scheme to get good ball movement and players openā¦you can see this in games 1 4 & 5 of that 76ers series because we went cold in game 1 and almost blew a big lead then in games 4 & 5 we came back from large deficits because our shooting got hot againā¦a lot of our shots were near the end of the shock clock or off isolation so it resulted in runs or droughts
2021-2022
The Hawks had many of the same players but what made them regress in the regular season was our defensive anchors being in and out and also a covid outbreak so we had one of the worst defenses but one of the best offensesā¦this inconsistency got us a impossible round 1 match up against one of the best defensive teams and coaches therefor our stale offense and banged up team got beat in 5 games (Trae struggling didnāt help but that was also partially because of our terrible offensive scheme) its easy to defend and lack of a secondary ball handler also hurt us
this 2022-2023 season its been the story of make or miss and we lost two of our better shot makers that were great from 3ā¦we got Dejounte whoās been good but at the same time we downgraded the spacing at shooting guard even though Dejounte improved this yearā¦in our ECF run we had Kevin Huerter and Bogi starting after the 1st round with Clint Capela being our defensive anchor and it worked great with effort!
this season has basically been above average defense with inconsistent shot making and thats the recipe for .500 basketballā¦especially when you donāt have a modern day nba coach to get these lesser/inconsistent shooters like Hunter Dejounte and Collins open and its somewhat effected Trae!
i was shocked we didnāt move John Collins or Deandre Hunter for a better more consistent shooting forwards
unless Hunter and Collins really stay consistent i think our ceiling rn is the 2nd round if we get a more favorable first round matchup against the 76ers or Cavsā¦both of these teams could easily beat us but when we shoot well we could easily beat them as well in 6 or 7 games
i think the Hawks need to package Hunter Collins and Jalen Johnson with picks to get Pascal Siakam and let AJ Griffin play small forward next season and then also trade Capela elsewhere for either a pick or depth then hire Kenny Atkinson or Mike D'Antoni
