[Pelton] In his Blazers debut, Matisse Thybulle is 4-of-6 on 3s midway through the third quarter. Thybulle only made more than three 3s once in 245 games with the 76ers, hitting a career-high five 3s in December of his rookie season.

You can’t make this up lmao. Oh well I’ll continue rooting for him

  3. This sub really is the king of overreacting to a 1 game sample size

  4. bluelunareclipse

blazers hitting an ungodly amount of 3s this game tbf lol

Somebody tell me why I shouldn’t commit suicide ?

  6. krakHawk

Not to mention he also has 6 rebounds, 3 blks and 1 steal

  7. Came onto Reddit to see this. Wasn’t disappointed

He does this like 3 times a season, and naive fans/Australians are the only ones that think it means anything

  9. Glad to hear it. I hope he does well for them

  10. Blazers fan checking in here. We’ve been starved for perimeter defense for fucking ever, so maybe I’m overreacting… but, is Thybulle a top 3 perimeter defender in the league?

Blazer fan here, he played far better then I expected. Even minus the 3s clearly he won’t do that a lot but his defense alone was incredible. Hopefully he can sustain this good play

Haha, well I guess we’ll see where it goes from here.

It’s due to the excellent training staff in Portland that gets their guys ready to perform no matter what.

“Tell a friend to tell a friend I’m a sharpshooter now”- Matisse

Never gonna cheer for Jalen McDaniels. He’s absolute scum.

  16. “They just play the right way.” -Matisse in the postgame

Must feel good to switch from a lethargic iso-ball team to one that clearly values their role player contributions. It ain’t some ‘curse’ that role players perform worse for us. PJ is a known quantity that we need to preserve for the playoffs but he still got all the starts despite losing to Matisse across the board in advanced stats.

Josh Hart, who has been dogshit shooting this year was also 4/6 from 3 in his first start for his new team tonight.

  18. He also played 26:29. So there’s that. Getting minutes does something for offensive rhythm. Hope it works for him.

  19. put glen in the FUCKING GULAG. GET US A COACH FROM THIS CENTURY

  20. Spite_Annual

Was about to share his stat line but saw this instead. Way to go, Tisse! 👌

  21. Going to always hope for the best when it coms to Mat T.

  22. Poobmania

Doc is such a fucking tool. Glad we could play McDaniels 30 minutes tonight for 8 points, what a massive improvement we made there!

man y’all are crazy. he made shots in one game.

i love thybulle and wish him well but he gets absolutely roasted on ball by anyone with legs and would constantly force the defense way out of position. he’s a defensive specialist who isn’t really that good at the kind of defense the sixers need

  24. RelevantTreacle3004

Honestly he’s a better fit in the blazers system, which good, I’m happy for him. Us getting McDaniels turned out to be a better fit than thybulle (so far it’s only been a couple games)z so it really worked out well for both teams. Hornets IDK I guess they really want this tank to go perfectly

  25. Briguy241

So glad to see another young player we gave up on do well, I’ll keep rooting for you tisse 😢

  26. sam_sung009

amazing how much better a player performs when the coach shows confidence in them.
