Thybulle starting today right away for the Blazers tonight against the Lakers!
Appreciate you providing these tweets after each game
You can’t teach positive attitude and you can’t teach work ethic.
Maxey has both in spades. I am insanely positive on this kid.
Meanwhile thybulle shooting 4/6 from 3 for the blazers tn !
Maxey deserves the praise for transforming his defense in the last couple of weeks. I said that off-ball position is and naturally would be difficult for most guards his size, but he took the challenge and is using his 6’7 wingspan to play the passing lanes and is getting better at understanding when to dig and when not to.
The improvement with his off-ball defense is coupled with his solid on-ball defensive skills, including improving at navigating screens. Now he’s a more versatile defender and that makes it incredibly hard to keep him off the floor.

Thought this was one of the biggest takeaways from the last couple of games. Makes sense when you think about it; one lanky athletic guy can only get you so far.
Now that there’s two, they can play off each other. I know it’s “just the Rockets,” but that team is athletic af. Last time they made the sixers look like boomers activating LifeAlert™️, this was the first time in what feels like forever they didn’t look undersized & out-hustled. Seems like Doc has noticed too.
Defense is 10% skill and 90% “want-to”.
