So I know we need shooting, but just think about how everyone is able to shift to their natural positions. Scottie can be a pf and pg, og and Scottie no longer have to expend energy on bigger players, screens, passing from a fifth player, just overall higher basketball iq. They were able to just insert a rotation player without giving up anything, and given some games I think they’ll improve a lot. Think about facing Steven Adams or embiid now where og and Scottie are able to double down on them instead of being the primary defender. I just see a lot of positives with him joining the team

Honestly Iām real sad I didnāt make a post after we traded for him because I was scared of the angry mob downvoting me to oblivion. The receipts would have been nice to have haha.
I loved that we made this trade. Turned a non-factor in khem birch and a first round pick into an immediate, team-defining upgrade. Itās so plainly obvious that a true, passing, defensive center is what we needed. Itād be nice if he had the 3 like gasol, but just being a legit amazing screener and pick and roll threat is already enough. You can see the space he creates – absolute night and day from just before the deadline.
FVV having 15 assists tonight is not an accident. Teams will figure it out eventually, but for now, Jakob is filling a role that we just havenāt had in some time, and it makes the whole team way better.

His scoring abilities are super underrated, he average 13 pts on just 26 minutes on the Spurs, 18 pts per 36. The floater is cash and heās just in the right spots at the right time for layups and offensive rebounds
