No one is going to give up anything for Simmons, and no one is going to give him another contract. He is a major net negative at this point, primarily due to his contract, but also due to his terrible attitude.
I expect the Nets to pay someone to take him this summer. It will cost at least one first-rounder, but it will be worth it for the cap space.
If the nets were able to trade Joe, Seth, Patty, even Royce or Doe and get any draft capital back from them let’s say a few first possibly ? I wouldn’t mind attaching two first to him.. you’re not losing picks but you’re essentially not adding picks. I think this is Ben’s last NBA contract tbh unless a team is willing to bet on him but Nets wouldn’t be doing themselves a favor if he’s still on the roster next season
Well first of all, no one is trading anything for this guy, except maybe a ham sandwich and a handful of lint. The dude’s value is at an all-time low. If Nets FO wants to keep him or trade him, either way they’ll have no choice but to wait for him to fully recover to gauge what a hypothetical “Simmons trade market” would actually look like, because let me tell you in his current state Simmons has 0 suitors, and that’ll probably also be the case in the offseason.
Simmons is gonna need a serious training arc to try and return to form during the off-season and even half of what he did at Philly would help us out right now we’ll see if he can do it. For now we just have to tough this one out to see what we can do now to remain competitive.

I just don’t see them trading him. In a team that’s trying to rebuild it doesn’t really help us to trade future assets to offload him.
Lmfao it’s hilarious that you think he will even be in the league. This dude is cooked, both physically and mentally. That back surgery fucked him up way worse then we think. At this point he doesn’t even look good as a 12th man. Once this contract over it’s over for his career in the NBA. Hope he’s smart enough to invest that money into something worthwhile.
…just give him a few more seasons. Maybe he’ll be back from that back injury and he’ll be able to score double digits consistently and not foul more than he makes shots and be able to shoot free throws and be back to where he was defensively and have some sort of jump shot.
