Glad Russ came here, had a good time, and left amicably, but I don’t want a reunion.
He dipped as soon as he got the chance, he can go suck up minutes on the Clippers.
I enjoyed his only season with him and Brad but I don’t want to increase our turnovers and decrease our offensive efficiency.

Russ definitely fits this team better than the lakers, but taking touches away from KP who’s been incredibly efficient this year to give to one of the least efficient shooters in the league sounds like a bad move.

There are only a few teams that I could see giving into the Russ show. Clips and Heat- no. Bulls and Wizards – yes.
He wants to start, he wants to play exactly as he has always played. The Wiz will anoint him as the starter right away, as I expect the Bulls would too.
Russ has proven over the last few years that he isn’t serious about sacrificing for the betterment of the team. He doesn’t play off ball, won’t play defense consistently, and expects to be in the role that he was as an MVP six years ago.
He played well here but I dunno man
Wizards is the best destination for him easy starting job and previous success there

I feel like it **should** be like that Simpsons episode where the “real” Seymour Skinner returns to Springfield and Armand Tamzarian who is the Skinner we know and love becomes a cast off.
Russ is the “real” Skinner. He’s a decorated war veteran (MVP winner), a good school principal (a good person) but in the end he’s not their guy and the townsfolk (us) tie him to a train to send him away and never mention him again.
Our guy is John Wall. He’s the Armand Tamzarian. He’s the outcast, the guy who has flaws but in the end he was **our** guy who had flaws. He gave his body and his love to our city when nobody wanted anything to do with us.
He’s the Skinner we know and love. He is DC.
If we are bringing back retreads let’s make it our retread lol
