honestly, i’m not sure how salvageable this season is, but i’m hoping next year we’ll get a new coach and team chemistry will really start to click. *solemnly* another day another opportunity, go hawks
☹️☹️☹️
It was so plain to see tonight that the Knicks were playing with intensity and we were jogging around throwing our hands up for calls that weren’t coming. Hawks just wanted their week off to start.
This was a very bad loss. There was no pride no soul.
– DJ hurt and not playing well played the highest mins with the least points with the exception of Bey.
– Trae is just shot on confidence offensively. Obviously he hasn’t been able to bring his shooting back… Not to bring it back to the coaching staff but you want a mentor or coach to bring him back.
– Not playing JJ with JC out AND not playing Matthews.
– Dre was good today. Made 9/15 but just was forgotten about for a quarter and a half there. This is our story we never feed the hot hand. It actually feels like we run away from the hot hand at times.
– ALSO CAN WE STOP MAKING TRAE INBOUND? We have JJ AND DJM now. Honestly bogi could be on that list too.
This is the game that broke me.
Nate is a major issue with this team, but performances like this make me wonder if it goes deeper. Hope not. But that was pathetic. Got embarrassed, at home, by the Knicks. Who aren’t terrible but still. This team is just not fun to watch.
before I sign off for the night…DJ 3-12, Trae 4-14, yeah…we ain’t winning any games like this.
I missed the game. Let me guess…..we never established our defense?
This was the first game I turned off before the game ended. Disgusting performance.
9 Days until the next one. We can’t get much worse than this. We should fire Nate right now while there is still time.
If it wasnt obvious this before getting piped by the knicks, tonight lets us know were not ready to conpete for anything meaningful this year. Were 60 games in and it feels we havent improved since game 1. A team that gave up multiple FRPs for DJM and while hes solid most of the time hes not been locking much down this season, and not as dynamic with his playmaking. could be the Nates approach to offense though, so theres that. AJ Griffin our rookie, has been the best thing about our team this season.
There’s always potential we’ll rally post ASB but after 59 games of mediocrity, im not seeing where the consistent defense comes from. Or the consistent shooting. Or the consistent offense in general. After hoping 50 wins to start were more likely to end up around 40-42 and another first round out if we survive the play in. Seasons looking like a throw away
Damn. This may have been Murray’s worst game as a hawk
I’m downgrading my season tickets package tomorrow. Fuck paying for half a season to watch these fuckboys stink it up. What a massive waste of money. I’m feeling the same way when I dropped my Falcons season tickets.
We have officially hit rock bottom
Landry Fields getting his first full offseason as GM so we better see what he can cook. We lost the game against the Hornets due to our defense and lost to the Knicks due to our offense. It’s clear this coaching staff and roster got so many holes. First step, get a coach with a great vision for a 2023 offense. No more of this of this slow pace, P&R or ISO style offense. We need more actions, more cutting, and more moving without the ball and have a roster that fits that style. Outside of Trae and Dejounte (and AJ slightly), I think everyone should be looked at as available for the right pieces that fit. Everybody think this roster is loaded but we really we just have overvalued names that gives us nowhere near the production we need consistently.
Couldn’t watch the game, but when I saw the score at halftime, I knew I didn’t need to. Was it poor shooting? Lack of urgency? Questionable coaching? Answer CAW if all of the above.
I met juju gotti at the game so it was a plus honestly
No pride
Not related but I would nut if we got Mikal Bridges in the off season
Given how bad they’ve played the last two, this team is going to come out that first game post AS break looking like the Jordan Bulls just to reel us back in
last 5 games
Trae: 120 points (12 threes, 40 free throws), 70 assists (24 turnovers – 2.92 assists per turnover), 10 steals, +12 (1st among starters)
Dejounte: 82 points (8 threes, 4 free throws) , 22 assists (9 turnovers – 2.44 assists per turnover), 3 steals, -8 (4th among starters)
Poor Jalen Johnson. With Bey on the team his minutes are now gonna be cooked. Tonight, he only got to see the floor during garbage time. All while he was playing pretty well before the trade. Just wasted talent.
Some of you keep getting tricked. The sooner you realIze this team is at best a one and done team, the less you’ll get hurt by the hawks. This team has been just a tad above .500 for 2.25 years. They had one magical and lucky run. The blame goes to everyone. If they don’t get a coach that can get the most out of these players by the trade deadline next year, I worry for some of y’all’s health. Because this team is less than a season away from an implosion. And yea, I said the day that Nate was named interim that he would take away the three pointer and not even have a good defense.
If you need any proof that Nate writes his rotations on a notecard before the game and won’t deviate from them, just check out how we started the game with 0 offense and then Nate subbed Trae out for Aaron Holiday. Incompetence. Buffoonery. Inadequate. Nate McMillan.
One of the biggest blows every game seems to be 2nd chance points. I shouldn’t be as excited as I am every time we can actually grab a rebound.
