It really sucks because that game against Philly after Harden was traded was one of the most hilarious games I’ve ever watched. And that was all thanks to the KD and Kyrie duo. I wanted to see more of that.
As a huge Mavs fan myself their biggest problem is Kidd himself. Dude continues to start Dwight Powell over McGee and Wood, but Powell cant rebound, cant shoot, cant block shots, and is not good on the perimeter. Now McGee is not great by any means, but he WILL get you boards and blocks I dont care what he struggles with because he is light years better than dwight powell. We have lost the last 3 games and in all of them we get murdered on the glass. Powell brings absolutely nothing but hes logging more minutes than McGee and Wood combined on most nights. Wood is not a great defender but at least he is a bucket getter and can grab boards, and McGee like i said while he clearly has issues he WILL get boards and blocks. Things will work themselves out with time with Kyrie and Luka, but if Kidd doesn't start coaching better it won't matter how good both of those guys are.
I don’t trust kyrie, but if it does happen to work this time. Dallas is gonna be on that chip run. I still think they need a third piece that gives them defense, hustle and some enforcement, but they are on track.
If Dallas fails to at least make it to the Western conference finals Kyrie won't be in Dallas next year. Kyrie won't get more than three years on any deal for any NBA team.

I think you're kind of mistaken about their defense because from watching the Mavs, yes they're not good entirely defensively but I say their perimeter defense has been good but the issue has been from the frontcourt players since they can't defend the paint even if their life was on the line. Now, before anyone target Wood, I'll say in his defense, he never specialized in defense. So, expectations of him being Mavs' defensive anchor is genuinely stupid, especially since he doesn't have the strength or agility to keep up with bigs or smalls. Now, to be brutally honest.. Maxi, Powell, and Mcgee aren't good at all, so Mavs are going to still be bad defensively because they do not have the personal to hold it down for them in the paint. Offensively, there's nothing to worry about. Just Luka and Kyrie need to crease out the rough edges, and then they're golden.

Just don’t win stacking your team unless you have the right type of stack which comes with may be a big three with a lot of shooters, and now you’re about to bring down two teams that are doing great the way they just were mark my words
