“A look at who’s been the best at defending in isolation among players in our big man defensive roles

⬆️Suppressing shot attempts and lowering shot quality

    ➡️Guarding better players

-Big man defensive roles include Mobile Big and Anchor Big”

So PJ has been providing positive defensive value against by far the most difficult assignments. Which again, IS THE POINT OF PJ TUCKER.

Dude is so versatile on defense and this is proof that he’s still super effective

anyone talking shit about him must not realize he’s 37 playing 30 minutes a night.

I know it feels played out to say that PJ Tucker will “prove his value in the playoffs” but that’s literally just the truth. He’s a 37 year old ring-chasing vet who understandably doesn’t feel like getting up for *every* regular season game and he’s still taking on tough matchups and faring well.

He’s a high IQ vet who will be a pest in the playoffs, make more hustle plays than we’re seeing in the regular season, communicates on defense at an elite level, and is always in the right spot on offense making quick decisions and setting the best screens on the team.

When the playoffs come and it becomes a game of chess, he’s the savvy competitive vet you want on your team. I’d like to see him get some rest towards the end of the year so he’s fresh, but I’m not taking anyone seriously who thinks he was a bad signing for a team looking to win this year. (Ik op was being sarcastic I’m saying this for the PJ detractors)

he’s Someone you could put on guys like Jokic, Tatum, co.

I was told PJ Tucker sucks, can’t shoot and is proof Morey is a horrible GM

He is the player of hope in that we hope he will stop the opposition’s best player in the playoffs. If we wanted to stop a star player, we could have put Tisse on him. I just do not think carrying a guy who is going to get 3 points and 4 rebounds per game is the way to go. He is very problematic on offense. The only thing he can do is stand in a corner and occasionally shoot a 3. Yeah, he can space the floor but it is really not all that complicated to pass a ball to an unguarded buy on the perimeter. .

I feel like the point went over half of your heads.
