Bally Sports filing for bankruptcy where to the Grizzlies go? Stick with whoever takes over naming rights? Is Grind City Media a option?

This is absolutely no surprise. In the past years there were great commercials from Fedex and other big names. This year they have run an ad for some Lizzo show being held at the Forum in April. So far the SPECIAL OPENING ACT has changed 3 times during the ads. The show is in APRIL and they started running the ads in October!!!! And they still run it. Either there are NO SHOWS EVER at the Forum or this is the worst selling show of all time. I suspect most of the ads on BSSE are krap the have to run like ads for Memphis and Fedex Forum which just leave a Rendezvous ad and maybe two others that are actually paid.

It’s a shame really as both Brevin and Pete are amazing announcers and deserve better, There are no national broadcaster on ABC, ESPN or NBA TV that even come close to the excitement and fun of listening to Pete and Lil Brev Brev.

If the idiots from Grind City take over I will have to just go back to turning off the sound and putting Haseltine on the radio on simultaneously like the old days.

Companies going bankrupt doesn’t mean they don’t exist anymore. I’d imagine someone new will buy them. I doubt the Grizzlies have any interest in running an entire network.

In theory, if Sinclair’s Diamond Sports subsidiary were be dissolved, it’s likely another company would buy the assets and probably renegotiate the local rights packages. Whoever took over the Bally Sports regional sports network in Tennessee is likely to keep the package.

Comcast could create a regional sports network if it could be profitable.

Maybe the Grizzlies and Predators could partner on a Regional Sports Network. This is more likely than the Grizzlies going solo in creating a network. I don’t think Grind City Media is likely to be the broadcaster. The Grizz in house media company is strictly online and they don’t have a presence on television. They’d need to negotiate with all the difference cable and broadcast channels to carry the games.

The NBA could create regional sports networks to run the broadcasts for the teams that have Bally Sports.

Maybe it goes back to fox or someone else. Grizz will have to keep the games on tv. Just hope brevin and Pete stay on :/
