[Charania] The Miami Heat have emerged as leaders to sign five-time All-Star Kevin Love after he completes buyout with Cleveland, league sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium . Interested teams believe Miami’s ability to offer a defined role and playoff positioning are leading factors.

Whether you “believe in Love” or not, this is definitely a “rich get richer” situation. If we were contenders, we’d have a much better chance of nabbing any candidate we might like out of the buyout season. Struggling to rise above .500, we are not favored destination 🙁

I think any roster move the warriors make needs to improve defense (see GP2). I don’t know how Kevin Love would ratchet up the intensity of our defense.

They’re starting Caleb Martin at PF. Heat are probably more desperate than the Warriors for a big, still have Yurt out with injury too.

Think they’d run Love at the 4, he’d be a pretty good fit between Bam and Jimmy if he manages to find his shot again (guess that depends on his thumb?).

He’d make sense in Miami, and is likely looking at more definite minutes/reps than he’d get here, or pretty much anywhere else.

  4. Smh why go to the heat and get 20-25min a game when you could go to a contender for 15-20 but at least have a chance to win a chip.

Heat are middle of pack team that will get dusted off by Sixers on first round. Kevin chose poorly.

For how much? The Dubs can’t afford Love unless giving up a big contract of their own.

Honesty I’d kick the tires on Stanley johnson if you want really good defense. Dude locked up Kawhi a few years back. And he’s better than Lamb 100%.

That’s fine by me. He’s looked washed this season
