Franz and Paolo were 2 and 1.
That brings us to the Orlando Magic’s fearsome young duo, both of whom were the top-two picks in the Rising Stars draft. Franz Wagner currently leads the Orlando Magic in plus-minus by a wide margin, sitting at +322. Averaging 19 points to go along with four rebounds, and four assists, he is efficient and crafty offensively and can play any position from 1-4.
At 6’10, with a euro step reminiscent of Manu Ginobili, and the basketball IQ of a seasoned veteran, the German youngster can only be described as a future superstar. It is rare for young players to score efficiently at all three levels the way Wagner does – and even fewer do so at 6’10, 220 lbs.
The runaway leader of the pack, however, is Wagner’s teammate Paolo Banchero. The Italian Stallion has put together the greatest rookie season since LeBron James and is the runaway favorite to snag the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award. As the only youngster averaging 20 points per game, Banchero could end up being a top-15 player in the league by next season, and that may be underselling it. At 6’10, 250 lbs, Banchero moves with the quickness and agility of a crafty wing, making him nearly unstoppable when he gets a head of steam.
He also has impeccable court vision, a trait that you do not normally see in a player his size. He opened his NBA career with a bang against the Detroit Pistons, becoming the first rookie since LeBron James to put up 25-5-5 in their NBA debut. At just 19 years old, Banchero figures to follow in the footsteps of other legendary Duke products to find success in the NBA – but even Celtics’ superstar Jayson Tatum was never this good at Banchero’s age.

We’re winning a title in the next five years assuming we keep our core together. Possibly the most exciting Magic team of all time!

I’ve never heard of that website or journalist, but after reading – I do believe they are reputable.

Paolo is having the best rookie season since Lebron? I mean I’m a huge fan but that seems a little sensationalistic to me.
