Love signing with Heat gives the almost flat lining team a jolt of life. How love can make Heat alive again will be worth watching. Nothing is certain but Riley smells Love could be part of Heat after Haslem retires and Lowry's salary is dumped next season. Heat loves vets. Will the Cavs scrap give Heat gold? Not a return to the ecf yet. Just opening a door gone frozen since Duncan R was thrust into the freezer and Max S blowing hot, cold and colder. Love Wade as a player but not off the court he can stay with Utah
Both David and Wes are correct talking about what Love brings to the roster. However, I believe underselling the value of the correct buyout needs to be pointed out.
1. Lowry can now just facilitate and control the offense.
2. Herro is still the 3rd option, but defenses have to stay attached to Love, Bam, and Jimmy.
3. Jimmy has a very good back up in Caleb Martin on most nights. Which gives Jimmy his needed rest.
4. Small ball line up is still an option. But also a shooting line up is now possible.
5. Bam gets help! We can also run a big line up against Milwaukee and Cleveland.
We talk about Bam recruiting but they're recruiting Bam. If Pat keeps these G League and old guys around Bam he's gonna leave.

I’m happy for the Miami Heat pickups but you lost me when you said Zeller raises Miami’s ceiling over Russ. Yes it just comes down to what the Heat need at the moment but Russ is a way better player than Zeller.
