One good thing we can take away from this game is that Steph is still in form, even if he did struggled early. It’s a good sign, because he didn’t play for almost a month. I expect he’ll go on a flurry in the upcoming games.
But the Dubs needs to attack the paint more. The last two games, Dubs won because they have over 40+ points in the paint, compared to 26 against the Lakers. We need to score more in the paint, as it’ll help create space for shooters. Although the Lakers are bigger, so that can be a good counter argument, but we still need to attack the paint more, as it always end in good results for the team.
All in all, they just need to stop chucking threes, and find quality shots.
Miss you two way wiggs
Man everytime I see Jared Vanderbilt play I think about that one more high level 6-8+ defender we need. It’s not particularly him he’s not the ideal player in every sense. But no player is and what he is is probably one of the three Elite High motor versatile 6-8+ in the league. He’s essentially the GP2 of forwards/bigs in the league. He has just so much positive energy and I think he’s also an incredible example of a player who has to have that energy to be effective in the lead he can’t shoot he can’t do a lot of things but he’s a smart player and nobody can match his energy.
I know it’s wishful thinking because his packaging into the deal was more of a money thing considering that the deal was to dump Conley. That doesn’t stop me from wishing that Bob would have offered a first rounder for him. The level of value that his contract has and the level impact he brings to me is worth a 20th pick in the draft.
The bitching about Lamb makes absolutely zero sense from a basketball standpoint.
Do folks think Sacramento is the best matchup for us because of inexperience or do they just not respect the teams star power compared to Phoenix with Durant and Booker the Grizzlies with Morant the Clippers with with Leonard and PG-13?
I actually think Sacramento is a worse matchup for us than the Grizzlies Mike Brown knows our scheme and that team knows how to play us every game versus Sacramento has been tough.
I honestly want the matchup for the Northern California home away from home vibes not cuz I think it’s the easiest match up. Mike Brown is going to give us fits in that series.
Our road record sucks but it’s nice that we technically only need to win one per series to get hca back
I take the blame for yesterday’s loss.
I had intentionally ignored the other games, and we kept winning. I continued not watching the games, and I only allowed myself to peep the score once a quarter.
Yesterday, I said to myself, “Self, jinxes are juvenile, just watch and enjoy the game.”
Im not convinced kerr looks at anything other than uncontextualized +/- when deciding to play lamb
It’s crazy to think we haven’t had any standout road win the entire season.
Well yesterday had some of the worst overreactions I’ve seen on this sub to one loss. We just won 5 straight and the schedule makers forced the guys to play 3 games in 64 hours and 30 minutes. AD is probably our worst possible mismatch because he’s allowed to camp out in the paint for 10+ seconds at a time and never gets called for his off arm when he contests or for the body bumps. On the other side, he always eats Looney alive and gets the softest whisper touch fouls to boot. It sucks but anyone who expected them to come out with energy and aggression has never been sore from several straight days of high energy basketball.
