I remember being upset at the players we got back from the Spida trade and that Sexton would be the best player, but wow has Lauri proven me wrong. He’s 90-95% of what Spida is and we get Ochai, Sexton, and picks? 🤩
Laurie is a 7 foot player that can do it all and plays much better D. It’s a lot harder to find 7 foot tall dudes that can do what he does than it is to find 6’1” dudes that can play the way Donovan does. Lauri is statistically better at everything except points, but even then not by much. I like Donovan a lot. But I wouldn’t trade Lauri straight back for Donovan. Given everything the Jazz got, they won that trade big time.

Shai went from borderline star to star in one season. In one season, Lauri made the jump from role player to all star starter
