If SAS says it then I think RJ is gonna be fine
This idiot doesn’t know basketball. Period.
i hate when SAS speaks on the knicks or claims he is a “fan”
Everyone had a bad game last night, not just RJ, even though he’s the most consistent bad player.
Brunson had a terrible game. Kept isoing way too early and not getting others involved.
I believe they will bounce back next game and still take the series in 7
If IQ and Grimes were playing well I would agree but with them also playing poorly we don’t really have a choice
Can’t believe I watch a SAS clip but I don’t disagree. He’s terrible. You can’t play him and Mitch together and he can’t shoot the 3 to help when iharts in. Sit his ass down.
Wait, SAS said this? Shit, must mean RJ is gonna ball out the rest of the series then.
Don’t care about a word this fool says.
My gf and her roommate said they really like him after seeing him at halftime during game 1. They watch zero basketball and have no knowledge of the sport at all, that explains everything about this man.
RJ is playing terrible on offense but his defense has been great. Still a better option than IQ right now honestly
It’s SAS but the message is absolutely correct. They’re actively sagging off of him and it cramps our spacing. He **cannot** play next to Hart, there’s no room to operate. Having Deuce out there to face guard ball handlers may honestly be better at this point and it is imperative they move him this offseason.
He’s not wrong to a certain extent. This series was expected to be a match up nightmare for RJ. His 3P shot is gone and the cavs are not letting anyone get open looks in the paint. However, his replacements are not playing well either and Thibs sees that.
Even if this sub thinks RJ is the worst player on the floor, there has been guys playing worse. Notably IQ and even Grimes. Check Ben Ritholtz’s grades after the game and his analysis. As bad as RJ was, there were 3-4 guys giving us less. Even in the prior game.
Thibs probably sees the same thing which is why RJ isn’t getting benched. The man benched RJ in regular season games all the time when the match up sucked or RJ is building brick houses, and suddenly he’s not benching him in the play offs? It speaks more about the guys behind him than anything.
I hope RJ sees this and he might look for once like he’s not falling asleep.
I agree, Cavs were a lot better without Okoro. I believe we are better without RJ, the guy needs to earn his minutes. He’s given a starter role and big minutes for no reason. He doesn’t even hustle a lot of times on top of being useless.
Even a broken clock…
But the truth is that if he plays, he should only be attacking the basket. No 3s. No fadeaways. Attack the big guys in the middle. Get layups or fouls. If you get stuffed, fine.
Why is he even on TV
