Ben you are great No to Lillard(45Million Next Year!!!!), his Offense is Great, but he plays No Defense. We would have to trade OG, Pascal, Boucher, we wouldn't be able to resign Poeltl, have to let go GTJ, and FVV is going somewhere else then the Raptors please. All the Questions Depend on are next Coach. This Coach needs to hold guys accountable, teach guys to be selfless, install a culture of confidence, Winning Culture. Pascal Siakam he has had more then most NBA Players time given to prove they are clutch, unless miracle happens it ain't his mindset, heard a good Podcast today by Rob, about players having confident mindset. FVV doesn't have that Clutch Confident mindset either. @ben rogers any trade for lillard will have to include Scottie Barnes, as well as og anunoby, precious achuiwa and koloko. They also likely have to give this years pick as well as 3 other picks and 3 swaps for lillard. Does siakam and lillard with alot worse defence make the raptors a contender? nope. We need a retool or a semi rebuild, not gutting the team for lillard who cant make the playoffs even when he has a career year in portland.

i think udoka didnt come to toronto just to get farther away from boston…being in the atlantic division would give udoka double the visits to boston than if he was in the western conference. i think his firing at boston affects him more than he speaks of.

Good news concerning Otto Porter Jr. If healthy he can help the Raptors get back to where they want to be because the current Knicks roster isn't better than the Raptors roster as is. Blazers would most likely want too much for Damian Lillard (turns 33 years old on July 15th). Poeltl, Siakam, Barnes, Anunoby, Lillard is a great potential starting line-up. With Koloko, Achiuwa, Boucher, Porter, Banton, Wieskamp, Dowtin Jr, Flynn as pieces off of the bench. But would FVV (S&T), GTJ (S&T), 2026 FRP get the deal done?

Yeah… no. Last thing we need is a Gobert tier trade. Masai already took a huge L at that trade deadline. This trade would gut our roster and shit on our future to make a team that ain't even competing for a chip.
I'm down for any roster Raptors come up with that doesn't include BumVleet.. although I'm more down for the get rid of every old ass player we have, roll with Barnes and start the tank.. Adding Dame to this roster is a second round exit at best. I guess just depends how healthy Dame will be at 33yrs old. Raps will have a 2-3yr window to try and achieve something with Dame.

S&T FVV for 29 mil for J grant to 20 mil plus first in 2024. Grant can still play but injuries a concern and you keep him for bench depth.
PS for A Simons +S Sharpe + N little plus a 2024 best second round. I know folk will say not enough for Pascal but I think we get more for FVV

I actually like the idea. The raptors have had some of the worst half court offence for the past 4 years! Lillard gives the defense something far more to focus on than anyone currently on the roster freeing up open shots for the rest of the team
i like sam cassell as coach, he can relate with players, i know raptors would want a prime cassell, that's for sure
33 and five left – no thanks. Two disgruntled in the East, Trae, and Jalen Brown. Sign Poeltl back: then it's Barnes, Poeltl down low to pair with the defensive minded 3&D OG, now your front court is set. Use FVV and GTJ (as sign and trades), they also have PS, plus this years first (if needed) to trade. The team NEEDS an up grade on guards – a strong 4 guard rotation and back-up SF would be ideal.
I would like dame on the raps but if he doesn’t a trade with pels would be nasty. Cj and Zion for dame would be nasty they would shoot everyone out the gym😂🤣

If there is a trade to be made with Portland, it should be sending Siakam there in some kind of a multi team deal where we get back Simons, Sharpe and a few picks.

They can't trade their picks in 2024-2026 until the 2024 pick to the Spurs conveys. At this point they can only trade their pick in 2028 and offer swap rights on their 2029 pick. That's it. Unless they negotiate with the Spurs and remove all the protections on the 2024 pick which would allow them to offer their pick in 2026 and 2028 plus swap rights in 2025/2027/2029. This is the reason most panned Masai's move at the deadline. It was a win now move for a mehmeh team that was super poorly constructed.
Fred/Lillard/Siakam/Barnes/Poeltl the new starting 5 and hopefully an offensive minded coach. We'll have a two year window
