Draft a talented center because nurk has really fallen off and drew Eubanks can only do so much he isn't a starter he is more of a second rotation big than anything
This opens up a lot of options for Blazers. Is it time for Dame to get traded? I say yes

I think the fact this is how the situation can be described is a red flag. If the front office lets themselves feel pressured to chase their own tail and fight for a player already under contract, then you immediately lose those trades and any chance of actually putting a solid team around Dame.
Essentially, paying extra to help keep a player you already control means you're getting a worse return for whatever you give up. Obviously losing too many future assets at one time hurts the future, but most importantly, it hurts the ability to make even more moves in the present. The Blazers need to be willing to say no to an over pay.
If they are scared of losing Dame, they won't succeed with him.

Dame does not want to be traded. He does not want to leave. He just wants the blazers to bring in experiance and have a well rounded team to compete.

I love Dame but if the front office is feeling to make a trade that doesn’t make sense we already lost. I day trade Dame and build around Ant, Shae and #3 pick. I want see Dame win a Championship but most likely won’t be in Portland. I’m forever be Dame supporter what ever team he lands.
I don't agree that the Trailblazers have to trade the pick before draft day. Couldn't Mr. Cronin draft someone and hold onto the asset for a future trade?

I would like to pivot off a Damian Lillard and keep our 3rd pick and get some good stuff in exchange for Dame Dolla and start our growth into the new Blazer era. If we don't do it now we are truly shooting ourselves in the foot to a pease Dame. I wish we would have held off giving them that extension till after the draft and then we probably wouldn't have did it.
