“I need Nuggets fans to know that Michael Malone did not get outcoached tonight. That is not what happened. The Heat made shots and executed well. The Nuggets did not match that energy or focus on the game plan. It’s not on Malone to bring those things FOR the players.”

Bro wtf is this? You are a reporter. We are fans. We can blame Malone and be wrong or right. Know your role

he did get outcoached. spo is a mastermind man. tat team goes as far as spo takes them, not jimmy

Right, that’s it. I’m calling Argentina

  4. Same dude who said Zeke would play 70+ games and be a starter.

Not saying Malone is to blame but I’m also not looking to RB for accurate takes on the team.

There were a few second half situations he could have picked to use a challenge and in the end never used it at all. That’s really my only beef. The players didn’t execute for the most part.

It’s always a combo of both in a loss not saying that Malone should get all or even most of the blame for the loss but he certainly isn’t blameless either the fact that he didn’t use their challenge when he had at least 5 legit opportunities to do so during the game is frankly inexcusable his in-game coaching just has to be better in this series (we know he can bc he’s leveled up during these playoffs and prior series)

I need nuggets fan to know that I didn’t order my 20pc chicken nugets last night. Sorry for blowing the game last night. I had one job

Malone ended the game with two timeouts and a challenge left, why the hell would he not use them? And why the hell does he play Jeff Green in the NBA Finals???

I agree. Should have used the challenge but other than that I think we didn’t execute. Above all the shoulda coulda’s that happened in this game it’s MPJ and KCP having horrific performances. Not going to win when our 3 and 4 scoring options aren’t getting more than 10 points and play atrocious defense. Jamal is facing the best guard defender in the league, he’s going to need help and Jokic can’t do it by himself.

Last possession timeout is debatable. Definitely should have called timeout down 6 with 1:22 to talk it over. Can’t hold challenges in close games with such obvious officiating misses. Ran Jokic WAYYYYY too deep in the second half and as a result he gave up a bunch of easy buckets in the late 3rd / early 4th trying to conserve energy. Did this even after the non-Jokic crew kicked Miami’s ass in the first half.

We don’t need Malone to be the greatest galaxy brain coach in the world here, but in high leverage situations he needs to be the difference between winning and losing.

  11. I’ll go at every shit fire Malone take I see but this is just as dumb. As a coach you are responsible, in part, for your team’s focus and execution. When the gap is this wide in focus and execution I think it’s pretty safe to say he got outcoached. The individual players are more responsible for their performance but when one team is locked in and the other isn’t even close, that’s on coaching. We don’t get to see what these coaches are doing and saying to their teams for the most part but whatever we did in our approach to this game utterly failed.

    Both things can be true.
Out players are so much more talented than the Heat, that multiple things must go their way for them to get a win.

KLove in the starting lineup, for instance, and we lost those early minutes because we didn’t adjust to that
