  1. I’m sure he feels bad, but come on. The guy has made hundreds of millions of dollars while here. This isn’t like he was doing charity work for the franchise. It was a business relationship in the end that he stuck around longer than most players.

  2. washington_jefferson

This keeps getting worse. Does Dame have a PR agent?

  3. Competitive-Plan-720

Do not believe this witch’s propaganda.

  4. rollingdown23

ppl have zero chills. majority of blazers fans wouldn’t give dame a hard time. it’s just a few freaks who folks assume speak for the entire fan base.

  5. tblazrdude

Don’t listen to the haters, there are only a few of them. Dame is a legend to Rip City. Hopefully there’s a scenario where Dame gets what he wants and the team isn’t left holding the bag.

Does the average NBA career include half a billion dollars in contract?

Give me a break, comparing him to a group that includes people that last a week in the NBA, walk-ins, etc… is ridiculous

And he never had a chance to succeed? I’d say any team that makes it to the conference finals has a chance to succeed

There is something here we seem reluctant to discuss.

I can’t stand LMA. He left for no apparent reason other than his childish resentment of Roy and Dame. OTOH, he *took a paycut* to leave. He cost himself 10s of millions. He may be a jerk, but in that one respect he showed integrity.

Dame took the super max deal with Portland. To borrow a British saying, he “took the king’s schilling.” Then he demanded a trade. He also demanded the team of his choice, as if he was a FA.

At best, this was an awfully cynical move – but it was smart business. Now, some folks think we “owe” it to him to give him everything he wants with nothing in return. Bull-dada! Dame’s action were in self-interest, and he has no right to expect the team to not do the same.

The irony is that I am not a fan of Jody or Cronin either – but his quarrel with them has nothing to do with the fans. Leave us out of it – and that means the team needs to take the best offer and Dame needs to be an adult and deal with it.

/rant…and approaching the end of my fandom.

Y’all are losers lmao he got paid well? Of course he would he’s top 75. Lool how much brown is slated to get paid as a number 2 and Desmond banes recent contract. Ppl are so pitiful, the more he talks the worse he looks? He’s handicapping us for wanting to go to Miami. Where is cronin fault for lying to him and not getting any value for cj or even Powell? Why can’t he cook up a three team? Or we just wanted dame to shut up and play with rookies while the national media calls him a loser and he falls out of his prime. Who did we trade that we got value back for recently? None lol we’ve been poorly run aim your hate at Neil olshey and his step in Cronin & Jody Allen!

  9. 95%+ of the NBA’s fanbase and media are celebrating and even congratulating his choice to be traded. I’m not sure how him cherry picking the small percentage of ppl giving him flack does him any good but wtv.

Why sign a contract extension with us then if this is how he felt? He can go chase rings when he’s a free agent. Until then, I don’t understand this idea that we owe him anything. If he’s truly desperate to get out, he needs to expand his list of teams he wants to go to instead of holding us hostage and trying to play victim to the media.

  11. I’m not even a Blazers fans, I’m a Nuggets fan. I was at the game 7 in Denver when the Blazers eliminated us.

I should want the Blazers to get fleeced on a 30¢ on the dollar trade and send Dame east etc

But I’m a bigger fan of basic common sense & so I don’t want to see that.

Your GM has this big poker chip and he should maximize it. It would just be stupid to take the scraps deal for any reason I’ve heard.

Also it would be damaging to the NBA as a whole to continue this precedent of guys making max contracts feeling entitled in calling their shots on where they want to go to form their preferred “SuperTeam” ( that has a 96% of flopping anyway as players don’t seem to be the best at thinking these things out).

Nets let Durant call his shot , but at least they got a haul in return due to the owner being way too eager.

Wizards were dumb enough to let Beal have a No Trade Clause, so they are doubly stupid.

Now we are at Dame ( additionally Harden is in pout mode in PHI )

your GM is a key guy in the direction the NBA is going to head from here on out.

Miami doesn’t have enough and they won’t, so they should already be crossed off list.

Trade Dame and get as close to a Gobert haul as possible, no matter where it comes from.

  12. ohiathere

Dame needs a social media break. I think people giving him a hard time just have an unhealthy relationship with him and the team. But damn, this isn’t helping his case lol

  13. likpoper

We are not even asking for much. We are asking for fair compensation. That Miami one is beyond junk. Wtf we need herro and Duncan Robinson for man? We give them our best player and we take their junk? Come on man..

  14. PuzzleheadedWest0

Boo fucking hoo. He’s made enough money to pay for his next next ten generations. Don’t try to act all high and mighty about this shit.

  15. Wide-Concentrate7228

At much as I love Dame as a player I hate him as a social media antic. This dude legit making millions every minutes but keep whining. I know we didn’t give him the best shot but dude just keep it professional.

  16. BlazersDozen

It’s crazy how quick a fan base will turn on a player who gave them everything they had for over a decade and made it publicly known that he wanted to fight to bring a championship to Portland.

Stop acting like hoes and realize you’ll be lucky to ever see a super star player like that in Portland ever again and please save me the “Scoot will be” bullshit because you don’t actually know that.

  17. WentWillNotCount

All I ask for Dame is to say “F–k Neil Olshey”

Wasted 9 years of his life. Period end of story.

  18. GlueGuy00

The org is a joke putting an incompetent FO after another. Dame deserves a better roster to compete with. Who has a chance to win chip in the West with McCollum as your #2? Traded CJ away but also replaced with a younger CJ 2.0 (Simons). And now they chose to keep Bledsoe 2.0 (Scoot) despite saying they would put all their chips in to try and get Dame a better co-star, FO is a liar and deserves to get fleeced.
